We discovered a huge swarm of bees had invaded out attic, and the folks at ABC came out right away and removed the hive in a very humane way. A large percentage of the bees were saved, and the beekeeper took the hive with him to relocate it.
Given all the problems involving honey bees and colony collapse disorder it was nice to see someone deal with our bee problem in a eco-friendly way, and not just exterminate the hive.
Horrible location, but good, solid burgers. People rave about the steaks, but I've never gone down that road. Let's be honest... it's a bar... next to the freeway... and it does just fine for what it is.
Great service and very good Mediterranean food. Large portions as well. Hummus was very good. Falafel was outstanding.
My favorite place for steaks in Chicago. Smaller and less refined than the bigger boys, but the steaks are out of this world. Great atmosphere as well. Not to be missed.
Ignore the negative reviews for this restaurant. Bistro 110 is a very pleasant setting, and the food is solid french bistro cuisine. The escargot en croute is fabulous, as is the cassolet. Be sure to make reservations during the dinner hours.
A true, once in a lifetime culinary adventure. The food is extremely high quality, the wine cellar is extraordinary, and the service is second to none.
Prepare for a very big bill! Worth the money if you can afford it.
World class tapas in Chicago. Nothing too fancy, just good solid, Spanish tapas. The plates just keep on coming, and the sangria makes it even better. Highly recommend. Just be sure to make reservations.
No question the best corned beef sandwich to be found in Chicago, and that is really saying something. Manny's has quick service, but try to avoid the prime lunch hour.
Good Thai on Ventura Blvd. Nothing special - there is better Thai to be found around town (Aruni House for example) but the food is always good. Lunch can feel a little odd... there's never anyone there.
Great pies to be found at the Four 'N 20! The rest of the menu is normal coffee shop food, but the reason to go is definitely the tasty pies.
