VCA Laguna Niguel Animal Hospital
I'm writing on behalf of myself and my colleagues that form our dog rescue, The Animal Pad.
I first encountered CVACC after placing a frantic call when another animal hospital in Mission Viejo kicked our dog out of their facility (albeit somewhat politely) after they ran out of space to take new patients.
I called CV and they we so kind that they hung out after drop-off hours to wait for me, on Easter! I let them know we were a rescue, and had a special needs dog that was rescued from Devore in SBO, that he needed indoor boarding and a sanitary environment, as he had third degree chemical burns and injuries from a weed whacker. That did not phase them, where it did other places because many turned me away. Worried when I said he was a large breed mix, he was a pit bull (which have been some of my sweetest dogs ever, mind you) and some were worried he'd be "too much work" to deal with his burns.
CV has been so wonderful with him, and he's recovered beautifully under their care. So much of his hair has grown back (as shown on their Facebook page), he gets playgroup time now, too! The most amazing, he's gained 15lbs (he was emaciated, too).
We've since then started to take all of our dogs there and use all of their services offered. We don't have any complaints at all.
What stands out to me the most with their vet care, is that Dr. Ivers doesn't do things unnecessarily. He doesn't do things for practice. If not for him, we'd have spent a lot more money at another vet who emotionally blackmailed us and manipulated the diagnosis of one of our dogs, which they were going to do a surgery on her that was invasive and not even necessary. I trust them with our rescues and with my personal dogs, too. Franquie, Heidi, Dr. Ivers, Tiffany, and Sarah are specific employees who have gone above and beyond when caring for our dogs.
We love them!!
