Bob and those at his shop have restored my faith in mechanics. In addition to being expert at his craft, Bob was fantastic with assessment while asking helpful questions that zeroed in on the specific issue at hand. (Initially, I found him due to my car breaking down in Glenside). I had an idea of what the issue was and was comforted that a mechanic had an interest in my thinking and actually listened fully to my explanation.
On my first visit, a mere moment or two to jump my truck with a booster pak and check voltage issues, then tighten my alternator belt. He took me in without an appointment dealt with me almost immediately and corrected the problem with no charge.
Of course.. he then got my business. SMART man, great business man, expert mechanic without compromising his human skills...
I returned my vehicle for break problems that arose after a different, (local to me) mechanic tended to a break issue. Breakpads replaced 2.5 moths after installed by other mechanic.. turned out my rotors were SHOT. He showed me the damage to my rotors.. breaks went bad because the other mechanic was too lazy or unethical to mention the concern. My rotors were so bad they literally sanded down my new brake pads. Bob and his courteous team fixed me up.
He not only has my business, but also has my support.. I tell everyone about his work and am about to take my old suburban in for inspection and an overhaul at his shop .. and have confidence he will sort out why it is my volt meter reads zero while the truck (new batteries) is running.
Can't say enough good about him.. his walls are plastered with letters of appreciation from clients dating back to the 70's.. gotta LOVE that.
OH.. BTW... I am a woman. Have met far too many mechanics who assume women are complete nimrods with cars and won't listen long enough to discover I might know my truck a wee bit at least..
