Hotel La Rose
The rooms are a bit pricey...but the canopy beds are great...and the room has a tub with jets right across from the bed...The location may not seem ideal for locals...but, being a local of Santa Rosa. I really enjoyed walking to the bars and restaurants...Great atmosphere for a Saturday night on the town...I recommend if you like to do pub crawls..this is the place to start...
Not to mention, after a night on the town, you got a few places to goto breakfast that are just around the corner, or you can go to Aroma's coffee house and relax...
Seed Restaurant
I am not a full time vegan..as a matter of fact, I am more of a meat eater than anything...my wife and I were talking about new places to try out for our lunch dates and this place pop-up...I Had their bbq burger (vegan)...It was the first RAW vegan dish I have ever eatin in my life and loved it...Seeds is a good place to go on a lunch date..good food, good atmosphere (even though its litterally a hole in the wall) but, I do recommend this place...Good Eats.
Chelino's Mexican Restaurant
I would deffinately recommend this place...If you know the history of the family and franchise...this spot is better than the original resturant owners place...The food taste's a whole look yummier and the price is worth it..I had a Chili Verde Super Burrito and it was good...
Whole Foods Market
This is by far the best Whole Foods place to shop in Santa Rosa. Even though it is smaller than the newer one on the other side of town, they still are very friendly and helpful. The variety of foods is just great..Especially if you are into getting your meats from a butcher whether it be Seafood or Meats, they got a great selection.
Subway
I have been eating at this Subway for about two years (off and on) and I enjoy the fact that they make my sandwhich exactly how I like it. The meal deal price is not so good ($8). I mean for 5 slices of meat that's not really a DEAL... But when its all said and done, there sandwich taste better than the $8 sandwich from Olivers market and Whole Foods Market. Not to mention those other guys $8 sandwich is only a 6 inch...and not a 12" sub...
Wash Plus
Since the new owner has remodeled the place and hired a manager who is customer friendly and very helpful when it comes to understanding how to operate any of the new washers is a plus.
I like the fact that they also offer Dry Cleaning. So far I have been using there services for 3 years now and have never had any issues.
Villa Serena
I moved to Henderson from California and this is the place I stayed at with my family...At first I was really happy with what we got, but then quickly realized, it's not all that it may seem to be....They definitely have a good gym and pool (when its open)...But, I noticed that our dishwasher would not clean the dishes...After looking at the heater element inside the dishwasher, it had just about a quarter of an inch thick, build up of calcium deposit insulating the entire element. I had asked the maintenance guy how to get this cleaned out and he gave me a mayonnaise jar filled with chemicals to pour into the dishwasher and said make sure to run your dishwasher approximately 7 times before putting any dishes in it...I decided to first break off as much of the build up I could so the dishes would dry. At that time, I also realized that the holes in the spinner that the water comes out of, to clean the dishes, was clogged with the same crap. So I had to take apart the components and clean them out..Imagine someone taking 3 dozen eggs and just putting the shells into your dish washer...Since I am not a big fan of chemicals I ended up having to use the chemicals I was given because the calcium (hard water) would build up in a matter of days.
Water Beetles: In California, we call those Cockroaches?if you don't mind having these things procreate in your bathroom sinks and crawl across you floor, bed and patio all night long...then be my guest...We had a guy come out and spray 3 times in a 6 month period...And that explained why the entire apartment, where the sheet rock meets the rug, was so bubbled out and flaking off...because they spray so much that the sheet rock absorbs the spray and turns yellow and nasty.
Carpet: I vacuumed my rug shortly after moving there and could not figure out why my vacuum cleaner was so filled with this white powder... The maintenance guy told me it was "carpet deodorizer"...But in the six months of living here, it would never stop coming up and filling my vacuum. I had to throw out my vacuum because this "powder" destroyed the hepa filter cartridge and started to burn out the motor. My vacuum was burgundy in color when I bought it the week we moved in. When I threw it away it was so caked with white powder it looked like I found it on the side of the road, in the desert.
Temple Bar Sports Grill
This is a really good spot to hang out and have a few drinks...Maybe even play a game of "Corn Hole"..Get your mind out the gutter...it's like Horse Shoes, except with bean bags..
This place seems like it breeds beautiful folks. From Waitresses to guests....Not to mention the DJ (DJ Dan & DJ Tim Dog) always gets you grooven to good music..
PPG Business Development Center
I was taking a trainning class here and found that there instructor (Frank) was the most helpful instructor I have ever had. PPG stands behind there products and takes pride in there job and it shows.
Dos Gringos Mexigrill
I would highly recommend this place to anyone...The atmosphere is perfect for just hanging out with friends and family...The food is really good and the prices are even better...Sometimes you even get some professional ballplayers coming here during Spring Training..Go Giants!
The decor is hilarious as there are posters and plaques with some funny sayings..I have visited this place quite a few times and I will visit them again...
