The Nest does have some beautiful merchandise and I have purchased many items from them since they first opened. My last experience with them though was nothing but unpleasant. I purchased a table from their floor sample sale and rather than pay a $100 delivery charge to have it delivered 6 blocks away, we opted to pick it up ourselves. We also ordered 4 matching chairs and were told that they would arrive in 2 to 3 weeks. The manager requested that we not pick up the table for at least a week because they were having an "event" in their store and they needed the table for their "event". We obliged. Afterward I received a call from the manager asking when we were coming to pick up the table. I informed her that we would like to pick it up when our chairs came in. She became very hostile demmanding that I get the table out of her store within the next 5 days. We picked it up 3 days later.
I waited another week to inquire about my chairs. The manager called me back stating the company had not even shipped them yet. When my chairs finally did arrive 5 weeks after purchase, I was given the phone number to a warehouse where I could pick them up. I was told that if no one answered, leave a message and they were very good at retuning calls. I never received a call back. I finally got ahold of someone at the warehouse. He was very rude and told me I could not pick them up that day. I had to wait until the following Monday to pick them up. When I arrived at my scheduled time, there was no one to be found at the warehouse.
I finally noticed a small crumpled up note stating " I'm on a delivery, Go next door." I finally found someone at the neighboring establishment who had keys. He let me in to get my chairs. Let me just add that I was charged $50 for the service of this warehouse which was supposed to unwrap and inspect my chairs. One of the chairs had a dent on the top. so much for a $50 inspection. I will never shop at the Nest again!
