I visited this store today for the first time and was EXTREMELY disappointed. I was there for two reasons, to buy and to sell.
I'll start with the selling first, because that was my initial impression. I brought a bag of designer boy (size 8) clothes in, and had only one bag. The person who "helped" me took my bag, which was fine, she seemed friendly at first, until she said "most people bring in more stuff"... which I thought was odd, but I thought nothing of it at the time. She gave me a time of about twenty minutes and I browsed around a bit.
I looked around, hoping to find some nice clothes that fit because my son grows like a weed and needed some more clothes. HUGE disappointment here. I found some jeans hanging on the rack that had a grass stain on them, and just some generally low quality brands, and I had hoped otherwise.
Keep in mind, I did check out their website first, and appropriately I brought in a bag of very clean almost new clothes, my son's true religion jeans, joes jeans, abercrombie, polo ralph lauren, ecko, Nordstrom dress shirts etc. and due to their website, I had the impression that there would be some nicer stuff there. Not that there's anything wrong with levis or gap jeans, but those were the ones with the grass stain on the knee. I mean, the clothes in my son's size were things I could probably find similar items at Walmart or Target. Somehow the words I had read from their website, "Highest quality Standard" didn't quite match what I saw in the store. How unfortunate.
I spent about two minutes browsing before the store employee told me she was ready. I went up to the counter expecting that they'd buy something, since all the clothes were in great shape, no stains, very clean and designer duds, and basically I was not told a reason why, but she only wanted to buy one pair of polo pants and two dress shirts and a Nike shirt, for $2.80. You get more for taking the store credit so I did look around some more, but was still very disappointed. And then the smile abruptly left the store employee's face when I didn't bring anything to purchase to the counter. I took my two dollars and left with pretty much a full bag, and no "new" clothes for my son. I ended up going to the mall for my son's new clothes, and still have to figure out what to do with the clothes I brought with me.
All in all, a very bad experience here. The employee was kinda short, which I would give the benefit of the doubt, but I won't be going back in this store. They didn't have anything I was looking for, in my son's size, which they DID carry, though, the prices were high, the brands were low quality and didn't match the pricing, and unsatisfactory. No shoes either, although it seemed here that there was quite a bit more in the girls section than the boys. I was really quite surprised considering the profit they probably could have made on some of my things, but now I have to plop them on ebay or craigslist.
This was the first time I'd ever been to a "resell shop" and due to this experience, I probably will not bother going to any others, either, due to my experience at this store, in FRISCO, no less, which is also unfortunate, because it didn't really seem worth my time, and I'd suggest not wasting yours, either. Definitely disappointing, not to mention the fact that I felt, based on the employee's comment about only bringing one bag, that I somehow should have MORE clothes for them to turn down. Unnecessary and unpleasant.
