I am highly satisfied with the quality of the service provided by Riverside Pediatric Group in Secaucus and very thankful to its outstanding staff. Particularly during this past year, with my pre-school child (sick every other week throughout fall and winter) and my newborn, I had the opportunity to appreciate very much the great value of their work and to experience, in many situations, real blessings coming from the many benefits that this pediatric practice offers.
The Doctors are very good, always helpful and, despite the number of patients in the waiting room, they always take the time to discuss with and instruct the parents. I appreciate a lot to have the opportunity to establish a relationship of continuity with one pediatrician, knowing that I can really count on the assistance of a team of valuable doctors 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and, eventually, on a pediatrician on call during the night time. How many Sundays and late evenings I thanked for this luxury. Once, we had to go to the Secaucus office on the Thanksgiving Day and I was impressed by seeing Dr. Azzam Baker in person in charge for the holiday; on December 2010, immediately after a major snow storm, I could count on them again for an emergency; finally, more recently, I appreciated enormously Dr. Omar Baker's admirable availability and scrupulosity with my daughter's case, to feel that he really cared definitely mitigated my anxieties and concerns.
To increase further the value of their core service and its extraordinary accessibility is the availability of supporting services that, I would say, have been introduced with the parents' needs in mind! Extremely convenient is the presence on site of a laboratory for blood works and other clinical tests. It's so nice not to have to deal with ordinary laboratories for blood works, with their long lines, poor working hours, long wait times for scheduled appointments and strict rules regarding the presence of infant and kids. Doing blood works to my daughter at Riverside has been always a stress free experience. The office is also equipped and the staff trained to perform multiple tests (from instant flu-tests to computerized vision tests). I have to say that my kids benefited by some routine tests that they administer (particularly the culture for strepto and the test for iron deficiency). Riverside Adult Medicine Center located at the upper floor has been another blessing for us: one stop is all that we needed when we were all sick or when we wanted to squeeze in just a couple of hours on a Saturday morning adults and kids well/sick visits and routine blood works.
Note-worthy is also the relational component: all the staff is very kind, above the average of all the other pediatric and medical practices (especially the large ones) that I've seen so far; the management is definitely customer oriented. During this past year, twice I had the opportunity to appreciate the office managers' fairness, courtesy and generosity.
In conclusion, according to my experience, a remarkable commitment and dedication, extraordinary working hours, valuable auxiliary services and a truly customer oriented management make the Secaucus office of Riverside Pediatric to standout distinctively against all the others. I have recommended and I will continue to recommend it to others.
During the past year, we had the opportunity to know and appreciate very much Dr. Omar Baker. He is a gifted pediatrician, passionate with his job. He works with scrupulous care, is very committed and dedicated and, in my opinion, he has a remarkable element of distinctiveness as a pediatrician that I would name "human factor". He loves kids and shows at work good heart and genuine care for his little patients. He relates well with the kids: they are always greeted first; he calls them by name and takes also the time for some small talks and jokes. Today, my (almost) four years old daughter likes going to the doctor, while before just the sight of the pediatric office door caused crying and screaming. She is affectionate to Dr. Baker and at home she plays Dr. Baker's role daily with her little brother and dolls!
Particularly during the last fall and winter, with my pre-school child sick every other week, I appreciated enormously Dr. Baker's scrupulosity and availability. His positive attitude definitely reduced the stress associated with Julia's recurrent health problems. I also appreciated him taking always the time to discuss, instruct and answering all my questions and the quality of the specialists that he refers us to. All my daughter's health issues have been well taken care of.
