ADT nickle and dimes you. Check with a local alarm company to compare prices and services. I just wanted them to activate my alarm system as they bought out my old one. They upgraded the box and alarm control panels. That's all, so I saved them money but, it cost me more than it did with the original equipment installation. I also had to upgrade to a wireless signal box. I was informed that if a theif cut my phone lines I would be out of luck. Well, my last company informed me that if my phone line was cut, I would get a call from the monitoring center as this would indicate a problem. Not ADT, they charged me 149.99 plus tax to activate it; what?
An overall terrible experience with ADT. No continuity with Customer Service issues. Every Rep. AND Supervisor had something different to say, ranging from "No service charge" to "Minimal service charge" to "We're not sure what the charges will be". No one willing to give a straight answer much less put it in writing. Never trust a company that refuses to put their charges in writing. I'm so disgusted that I'm willing to pay the "Early Cancellation Fee"
I really wish I could have gone with the competitor instead of ADT. Integrety alarms is the sub-contractor that does the installation in my area. They have the worst customer service. Could not get a hold of them for two days. corporate had to contact them on my behave. Set-up appointments for service call and had a no call or show, I left work early to meet technician. No real apoligy just a real quick "sorry about that, lets just re-schedule you". its been a month and still have not received my dumb yard sign. Cant even complete the simple things. Beyond angry. Do not sign with this incompitent company...
This is the worst security service we have ever had. The installation has never been complete. They have been out here dozens of times. The alarm goes off for no reason. Police, security and neighbors complain. We have send numerous letters and certified letters and all we get are more bills. We know they will try to ruin our credit and we still have anon working system.
I was not happy with the service from day one but gave them the benefit of the doubt. Our system started beeping and when I tried to call ADT on the phone, there was no dial tone. I called on my cell, and was told a service appointment would be scheduled for that day, between 1-5. I took the day off from a very busy office and was there. At 3:50 I received a call stating they would not be able to make it out. LOVELY. No I am sorry or thought of the value of my time. I decided I did not want to do business with this company. I cancelled and they will receive a dollar a month for the next 400 months to pay off the cancellation fee.
I was behind in my payments and called to try to get current so I could continue using ATD services. I was told pay past dur plus three monthsin advance and I would be caught up. It turns out that the instead put kept my past due amount on my old account and opened a new account, leaving a toatal bill for $318.90 for 3 months since the original agreement and they refuse to go back and honor the original terms told to me, telling me they infact intead credited my new account but kept the old account open and overdue. No help from any one to resolve this matter. Cancled contract & waiting for more bills!
