When I arrived at Memorial Hospital on January 19, part of my upper and almost all of my lower eye lids were torn off and my cheek had a fairly deep puncture wound. Dr. Kwitko's assessment was that it would require the initial surgery and possibly 2 or 3 more surgeries in the months ahead to restore functionality. Following the initial surgery, I had one more surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital in March. Dr. Kwitko did an amazing job of repairing my eyelids. I work in a large healthcare facility and encounter medical professionals throughout the day and when I tell them about the injury, they all have the same response - "I wouldn't have noticed if you had not said something." I am thankful beyond words for the care I have received as your patient, Dr. Kwitko.
