hands down, my favorite department store. it has all the great customer service without the snootiness (ahem, neiman marcus)-- the store feels modern and cool instead old fashioned for old ladies. whenever i want something but am not sure what i'm looking for, i always hit up nordstrom's because i'm sure to find something that looks chic. the remodeled purse department is to die for if you're a bag person...my last purchase was a marc jacobs bag that i am in love with. thanks nordy!
nothing beats the quality of customer service at anthro. if what you want isn't in your size, they will find it for you at another store and have it sent to me. the manager at this location even offered to refund me the shipping when the other store wanted to charge it. (evidently different store have different shipping policies)--- i love the calm ambiance of anthro and how helpful their employees are--- it's such a good place not just for interesting pieces of clothing but for cute liftle gifts, and if you have the wallet for it, some really nice shabby-chic furniture too
i recently came to this location and was really impressed with how good the food was for a semi-fast food place...the food comes out fast, is fresh, looks amazing and tastes amazing--- try the pad se ew and ask them to make it medium spicy--- yummy!
i never write online reviews, but i was so annoyed at the obnoxious a-hole named jennifer that i had to. what was supposed to be a nice relaxing day browsing at an estate sale turned into coming across the rudest, most boorish woman i have ever met. let me explain:
almost nothing is priced, so you have to ask the price. well, jennifer, who works the cash register, will sneer at you if you ask. you are told to pick out everything you want then line up in the checkout line. when u get to the front of the line, then they size you up to see how much you might pay for it, then price it for you. so basically, u have to decide on the spot whether you want it or not, when people are waiting behind you. jennifer will yell and bully and try to humiliate you, and if you take more than a couple of seconds to decide, she'll accuse you of being a bad customer or kick you out of the sale all together.
you might think-- well, maybe she acted this way toward one person--- NO, she will sneer at anyone, even the elderly and her own staff. it is hard to explain how horrible she acts, because it is just so shocking.
trust me, you'll want to STAY AWAY from this business-- i wish i'd read the other reviews before i came. all the one star reviews are absolutely true. if this is the person running these sales, you do not want to be a part of it. there are other companies in the houston area that run estate sales- i will be checking those out in the future.
one more thing-- read the five star reviews below and notice they are all written on the same day. then read the review by 'houstontxgirl' and notice that it is JENNIFER HERSELF--- and what is she doing??? threatening legal action against customers SHE was rude to that are voicing their opinions online. maybe she forgot a little thing called FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
