I saw Dr. Manges at the Community Health Center of Northern Michigan, he was very professional, smart, and helpful. They saw me very quickly, and I left the office in a decent amount of time. Great guy!

I arrived in the hospital emergency with severe cramping in the chest and throughout the generl body. Dr Shumacher was very concerned and ran all possible tests. After being admitted in the hospital he came to my room and conversed with me at length about my condition.

    Truck Stop Restaurant
    ★★★☆☆1 review

Its sorta like a version of fast food just not a huge chain like burger king and mcdonalds. Its great for a stop off on road trips up north or down south but if you have a chance to find something else I would suggest it because the food is only sub par.

    Bessie's Homemade Pasties

If you have never had a pastie you dont know what your missing. They are so amazing and are made with a buttery flaky crust and filled with all sorts of goodies. There are three types: beef, chicken, vegetable. They also have smoked fish and jerky, but make sure you get a pastie, especially if you...

They have the best burgers anywhere. They are cooked fresh right in front of you. Have never tried the "Big C" - it is huge. We stop here every time we go through the area.

    Castle Rock
    ★★★★☆3 reviews

I have always gone to Castle Rock as part of our trips to Up North. Even as a little kid my dad took me there! It is a beautiful place to take scenic photos of Lake Huron. Be mindful there is a climb and the fencing isn't as great as it used to be... Really Pretty View!!

    Bear Cove Inn
    ★★★★★1 review

We went to the Bear Cove Inn for a three day week away with NO CHILDREN and NO WORK PHONES. The owners were great and they go out of their way to make the stay like a five star hotel. The room was great, the tree fort was something that I wouldn't mind having in my bedroom at home. The owners off...

    Deer Ranch

This was a really neat experience especially for the younger crowd. For those of us that don't have deer in our backyard, it was neat to see them up close.

    Mystery Spot

The advertising for the Mystery Spot catches your attention all the way up I-75 so you've got to stop and see what it's all about. There are some cool illusions to be experienced and it was a fun side trip.

    Northern Lights Restaurant
    ★★★☆☆1 review

Northern Lights restaurant is traditional diner fare, priced well, and a pretty predictable menu. This restaurant could use some re-decorating, but it will work in a pinch.

    Kewadin Casinos - St Ignace
    ★★★★☆1 review

As casinos go, this is a small one. But, if you are up north and would like to stop in, there is a little money to be won. The staff was helpful. You had to pay for your drinks, even soda on the floor. Not too crowded.
