I had my baby in April by Dr. Fara. I would NOT recommend him. He only saw me twice my entire pregnancy and his bedside manner leaves something to be desired. However, I saw his NP the rest of the time(Eileen McCormick) and she is GREAT!! She was very attentive and personal.

Firstly, while in the office the staff were very kind and friendly and helpful, I'll give them that. Other than that this office has been a nightmare to deal with over the phone. It took several calls and several messages to get my results back from a biopsy that came back precancerous, I still haven't received my pap results, and I cant get my medical records for 8-10 days to take my business elsewhere to get the critical surgery I need. The receptionist is callous and unconcerned about my needs. Never again! Take your business elsewhere.

I have yet to deliver my baby, but I'm not fond of the group practice here. I have had two previous children with providers who were there for the duration of my pregnancies, and for the births, and felt really good about the deliveries.
As it is, I have only seen two of the doctors (at 39 weeks) who might deliver my baby at the hospital, and don't have any clue who I will see when I deliver. They are nice enough people, but having no clue about my preferences, or my past except when they look on the chart, is a disturbing idea to me. None of them knows me.
My husband and I call it the baby factory: where you are herded in, and herded out with a baby. It's just not personal.
Also, at the most recent visit, the doctor "stripped" my membranes during the cervical exam. It hurt a lot, but I didn't know what he was doing until it had been done. This is done to bring on labor, and I would like to have been informed about what would happen before he did it. I really prefer the baby to come when nature allows. He really should have checked with me first. I didn't want that done. Plus, I felt pretty crampy the entire day after his procedure.
On the upside, only once did I wait a long time for my appointment. They are very timely. And other things have gone smoothly.
We'll see how the delivery goes, but I would prefer to know my doctor better, and have him/her know me. Here's hoping the delivery will be as pleasant an experience as possible.

I recently had surgery performed by Dr. Newman of Sun Health Ob Gyn. It went very well and I was very happy with the care I received in his office for my follow up appointment. The appointment was easy to schedule and the wait in the office was short. I will be going back for all of my health care needs.
