I have never felt more comfortable then I did with these two gentlemen in my house. I had a problem with my ac and water heater. They sent out two technicians Mark (plumber) and Ryan (ac). It was expensive, but the quality was fantastic. They even changed a couple light bulbs for me in my basement, and tightened up my washer hose for free. They were extremely smart. I saw the negative reviews on here, but being new to the area and I like to support local businesses I decided to still have them out for atleast an estimate. Like I said it was pricey but they were able to work out payment options for me. I would rather pay for work that is warrantied and high quality then pay some no name place to do the work and not return if there is a problem. I will use them again!

DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON. They are crooks 100%. They will try to sell you a new heating system for three times what you could have it done from another company. They prey on elderly. Tried to rip my mother off , no way! . They take advantage of people. If you have an older system they will try and say it cant't be fixed. Then try to sell you a heating system for $11,000, thats right a $5,000 for $11,000. Yeah right. Their business will be gone soon as alot of people I hear know about these crooks. Stay Away, you have been warned.

I think Runnemede did a great job. I like them alot. I feel bad for the people who had bad experiences with them. I do think they are pricey, but I looked at the pay off, which I think was great. I would tell anyone to go to them. I have a meeting set up with the owners next week to talk about going solar. Hopefully they are as great as their technicians... I am sure they are!

This company is the worst ,as you generally call them in a emergency they will take advantage of you,they will charge you double to as much as five times what the job is worth . They will offer you their service contract at a lesser price [still more than the repair is worth]. They will come out quick but they will make you pay in a big way. Do yourself a favor and NEVER use this company ,I had the bad experience of using them.

At the start of the year my heater wouldn't start up. Runnemede came out and fixed it. The electronic ignition (20 year old unit --no surprise )was fried and for about $400 they replaced it. Honestly, I had no problem with that but after several months the furnace again failed to start up. Again, because I agreed to purchase their service plan, they came out. They ultimately switched out the electronic ignition for a pilot light, however, they talked me into "doing" an estimate for a new unit. $11,000 for a Weil McClain gas/boiler unit. Insane. The 93 % efficiency unit priced out at $5,000 online. Where was the other $6,000 going?

Frank, the "boiler technician" was extremely polite and competent. Even he questioned my "estimate."

So, the reason for writing this review, you will get a decent tech but you will be paying for the full page yellow pages ad. Way, w ay too much on the mark up.

If you hire anyone for your HVAC work, call Runnemede Heating first. I wish I did. I have a hybrid HVAC system in my home and was having difficulty with it for a few years. I've called on different HVAC contractors/companies in the past few years to help fix the glitches in my system with no positive results. The tech, Tommy, was thorough, professional, and explained everything in great detail and didn't try to "sell" me a "new system" like the other companies that preceeded my dealings with Runnemede Heating. Tommy diagnosed the problem, which I'd like to mention again, couldn't be figured out by other companies in the past. I spoke with a manger by the name of Thomas the next day to schedule the work to be done. I can't say enough good things about Runnemede Heating. My problem was complex and couldn't be solved by other companies. They fixed the problem fast and the price for the work was unbelievably reasonable. We are now in the middle of our 4th heat wave of the year and my A/C system has kept my house at 70 degrees with no problem. HATS OFF TO RUNNEMEDE HEATING!

Just had Runnemede do work in my home for the enrgy audit program that the state is offering. I must say, at first I was a little bit unsure on what to expect, but, after having the work done, I love it. My house is more comfortable and it seems like my systems (I have 2) don't run as much as they did. I will be telling everyone I know about this program and how professional Runnemede Heating was throughout the whole process.

I am very disappointed that I have to give one star. This company is by far the worst company that I have ever had to deal with in regards to my home. My heater had stopped working and I called them for a service call. The technician came to my house promptly and was very nice. Unfortunately, he misdiagnosed the issue completely and was about to charge me almost $1,000 to fix the issue. Here is my issue, the part that needed to be replaced cost $160 after I did some research so they were then charging me over $600 for installation which would have taken all of 10 minutes. Second, they were replacing the wrong part! Luckily I have some experience with electric and questioned his diagnosis. After seeing that the control board (the part they wanted to replace) was actually fine and realizing the issue was with the draft inducer motor, I figured out it was a capacitor that had blown that was responsible for starting the motor. The cost of the capacitor, $4. That is right, they were about to charge me $996 more than necessary. I will NEVER use this company again and I don't trust them at all to make a correct diagnosis. Do not use this company for any heating or air conditioning issues. Do your research and make sure you get a trustworthy company to do your work

Very happy with the work they did in my house. The technician (Chris) they sent out forgot to leave instruction manual for the new thermostat he installed but Kevin at their office had one dropped off to me. Also had some plumbing work done by them and I am very satisfied. I will use them again in future and recommend them to anyone that asks.

I was without heat for 3 days before I called Runnemede. They were very prompt and everyone was polite that I dealed with. I had a plan with S. Jersey gas but they couldn't get out to me for another day. After dealing with Runnemede, I cancelled that plan. I am a senior citizen and can't take the cold. I will recommend Runnemede Heating to all my friends and family.

Runnemede responded promptly to my call regarding lack of heat in my home. The technician was pleasant and gave me no trouble. He replaced an ignitor in my furnance. The bill was over $400...when I googled the part using the package he left behind I found it was a $29 part. Between this and the "service plan" they signed me up for I am thoroughly disappointed with the company and will strongly recommend everyone to not use them. I was gladly going to pay as needed to get heat into my very cold home asap, but there is a difference between paying for prompt service and being gouged. This company should be ashamed.

I had Runnemede out to fix my heater and Chris came out and was very courteous and professional, I was very happy with the quality of work overall. I will use them for all of my Plumbing, heating , cooling and electric problems from now on.

I called Runnemede because I had a leak under my sink. I spoke with Kevin, who was prompt and courteous while speaking to me and scheduled my call at a time the worked for me and my schedule. The technician Eric came out and fixed my issue and was a pleasure to work with. as well as competent and professional. I will use them again for the other services they offer.

I have used Runnemede many times in the past for plumbing work and this past weekend I called upon them again to get me out of a pickle. My son had flushed a toy down our toilet and clogged it. I found everyone, from the person on the phone to the plumber they sent, to be a pleasure to deal with. I did have to wait as did a previous reviewer, but I was advised of this when I called and was updated by their office throughout the day on the status of my plumber. Once he did arrive, he gave me the price to fix it and had the toilet flushing again in no time (and he offered to give my son his toy back, which I gladly declined...ewww!). I did call to thank Runnemede for their help and was directed here to document my experiance. All and all, Runnemede was great as always and I will continue to use them and recommend them to anyone that needs a good plumber.

I called Runnemede Heating at 8 am for plumbing services - I needed my drain snaked. After 14.5 hours of waiting, abusive telephone calls from Ken, a technician finally arrived at 10:30 pm to tell me he had to speak with the Condo Association about the billing. When I advised him that it would be my responsibility as owner, Eric gave me the $520.00 number to perform a drain cleaning!!!! They were rude, abusive and unconscionable in their pricing, and I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau. Let's hope no one else EVER calls this company for service again - they certainly do not want to do business in an honorable manner.

My central air died when it was near 100 degrees and I found the staff at Runnemede Heating Company to be first rate. Kevin answered all my questions (I had many), he was knowledgeable, friendly, and had patience. The same day Chris (very helpful) showed up to give me a quote and their crew began working the next business day. The ENTIRE STAFF IS FIRST RATE; I'm glad they were there in my time of need.

Runnemede installed a new heater and air conditioner for me the week before July 4th and did a fantastic job. I had Chris come out to my house and set everything up and he did not disappoint. I will always recommend Runnemede to friends and family. They are a 5 star company all the way! Keep up the good work!

Just had my a/c replaced and electric upgrade. The instalation guys were neat and clean. The house is cool and my wife and kids are happy! If your looking for a new a/c system, call them. I will use Runnemede again.

Runnemede replaced my A/C unit in 2004, luckily I have never had a problem with it.. until now.. so last week I call to get it serviced, Judy told me Thursday between 12-4, my husband had to take a day off of work to be home. At 3:30pm someone called him and told him they wouldn??t be out. So we rescheduled to Friday the next day at 4pm. Friday comes, at 5pm I call the office, Kevin says oh the time frame is between 4-8pm, (that was not said to us initially) so we waited again. ? at 6:36pm on Friday we got the call that no one can come out. Keep in mind, its hot out. I explained to Judy that I have 1 year old twins that are on monitors and breathing treatments and I need service because of my children??s health. So yesterday I call, and we make another appointment for today from 4-10pm (which is ridiculous of a timeframe) and at 7:30am this morning Kevin calls and says Runnemede can??t service us?? WHAT are you serious??? Thanks for giving us the run-around since last Thursday. Word of mouth is your best advertising? trust me, I have a big mouth, and I won??t be saying nice things about Runnemede.. If your so overwhelmed with work (in this economy, not so sure that??s the case) why not be honest and upfront from the start and say you can??t come out due to lack of technicians. I kept on trying to give Runnemede my business?. Sorry? that no longer will be that case! Im very disappointed that Runnemede lead us on, my children suffered for the lack of courtesy and respect of Runnemede. Very unprofessional!!!

I have been a customer of Runnemede's for a couple of years now and cannot say enough about them. I have their plan that covers my heat, a/c and plumbing and after I had some issues with water in my basement, i'm glad I did. They were able to get my heaters back up and running and put in a new sump pump. I gave them only 4 stars because they didn't call when the plumber was on the way like they said they were going to. But I still think they are a great company and keep up the good work.

I think this is a good company...years ago they fixed a major problem with my a/c that another company failed to diagnose despite an annual service contract with them. But the next year, on an annual a/c check their service tech pulled on the condenser line & didn't check it afterwards...we went away for the weekend & came home to a drenched basement as the line had fallen inside the window. But we stayed with them.When we moved we kept up the annual heat-a/c service plan.
I am cancelling the plan now as I am irritated that they seem to always "Find" something wrong that would cost $500+to repair & then offer a $100 discount if you sign on immediately. Twice they told me a part was going on my 4 year old heating system... I called another contractor & as I suspected, he said the part was working fine & not showing any indication of failing. SO I am moving on. I would trust them to fix a problem, but sadly I fear the contract results in trying to dig up business....& you can't cancel it w/o writing a letter :(

I agree that their prices are higher then most, but I have never had a problem with Runnemede. Their staff really knows their stuff. Being that I am an auto mechanic, I do see the value of having their service plan and my heat and a/c system checked over every year to keep it running right. I will continue to use them and will post an update after they come out to check over my a/c in the spring.

Really... I am surprised by the good reviews. I hate Runnemede. I've used them for heating, cooling, and electric and thought all services were over priced. What I hate the most is their scam to join their preferred customer status to save money on the problem you called them out to fix, but then you end up paying $10/ month for a year before you can cancel. I curse them every time I see the charge on my credit card. They wanted to clean my air conditioning unit by blowing air onto it to the tune of $700. No thanks! I am so happy that I can finally cancel this ridiculous contract I am under. Yey!!!

I agree, the staff does know their stuff. The price was a little higher then I expected to fix my heater, but they fixed it and I haven't had a problem since. I will use again and recommend them to anyone that wants something fixed fast and right.

Runnemede was here a few days ago and fixed a problem I had with my sewer. Everyone that I talked to and dealt with at their company were helpful and polite. I highly recommend them if you have any plumbing emergencies. I will use them again if needed.

I used them to fix my heater. Needed somebody quik since my wife is 9 months pregnant and it was when we had that really cold snap. Thought the price was a little high but they did get the heat up and running that night. I might use them again if I was ever in another tight situation.

Introduced to Runnemede at the begining of last year with some kitchen plumbing and electrical work that needed to be done and signed on for a contract. They do a very good job and do it very efficiently. Since then, needed additional bathroom plumbing done and again, the representative was polite, friendly and willing to do all he could to correct my plumbing problems. Runnemede's staff has been very helpful and always available when I needed them. I recommend them highly.

They came out and fixed my heater. The guy they sent out was nice and took care of the problem. Signed up for a service plan to save some money. I will continue to use them for my heater and they are coming out in the spring for my air.

Had them fix my heater on Thanksgiving. Came out fast and had my heat on same day. I did pay a little more then I do with PSE&G, but they said they couldn't come out until Friday. That wasn't going to help when I had 20 people comeing over for dinner. i will use Runnemede from now on. BTW, the person I talked to from the electric company was rude and ignorant, I will definitely be writing a letter to send with my next utility payment!

Had one of their electricians out to fix my electric that was out in the entire house. The man came out about an hour after I called and had my electric back up within an hour. Love the fast response and had no issues with the price. Will use again if I ever have an issue that needs to be fixed quik.

Had one of their techs out and look at some plumbing issues i had. I'll tell you, their price kinda floored me. But then I seen the kind of work they do and the level of service they provided me and understand why. The man they sent was very knowledgeable and helpful. they were able to get my plumbing up and running the same day they came out. I did have an issue with one of the toilets the next day but they sent a guy out after i called and he took care of the problem at no charge. I will deffinatley use them again and refer them to anyone looking for a quality and dependable plumber.

We had a couple outlets run by this company and they were extremely overpriced. Two of the outlets are now giving us problems and only work about half the time. Would not recommend to anyone.

I don't know what the other two people are talking about. Maybe they are under new management. I bought new Lennox heater and cooling units from them and did not have a problem. They did what they said they were going to do to a tee and now my 2nd floor cools better then it ever has. The guys they sent here to do the work where great too. I will be calling them if I ever have a problem again.

Tech came out to fix a gas leak. Replaced 6 inches of gas pipe, and a flange and charge $1135.00 for 2 hours work. Estimate of about $50.00 in parts. Refused to give itemized bill and made false statements to home warranty company voiding coverage. Township Inspector's office had all valid documentation. Fix was at night in 20 degree weather and we had a new-born infant in the house with no heat or we would have used another contractor. Never received any response from them concering complaint. This company may see me picketing their office location soon.

If you have any problem you will have to deal with the Service Manager whose mannerism is very unprofessional. I have a video of him yelling a me in front of my young children in my home. Decided to tape after being yelled at on the phone and having them out for the 3rd time because they could not get it right in the first place. Finally got my money refunded but after much aggravation. Had a new service come the next day and fixed the problem in an hour! Runnemede is also more expensive than other services. There member discount is what others normally charge.
