I have been going to this clinic for many years, back when they were the 'Lahey Hitchcock Clinic'. They are the main game in town (Concord NH), so although not a monopoly, lots of us put up with them even with the bad service.

Always the same issues. Lots of runaround, difficulty reaching anyone, good luck if they say they will call you back. Sometimes it takes hours, sometimes they don't call you back at all. Doctor visits are a merry-go-round and you cannot expect to have a meaningful relationship with any one doctor. I've never even met my 'primary care physician' but have at times been told I need to see them first in order to schedule something. I've waited 45 minutes to an hour for an appointment, not uncommon in the health care industry, but I've also had my appointment canceled because I showed up 15 minutes late. Crazy double standard. Their time is more valuable than mine, even when I'm sick with a high fever?

I'm not one to waste time with frequent visits or annoying calls. When I am asking for help it is because of a real illness. I try to call to get questions answered to help make the process more efficient for everyone but they are so slow to return calls I've learned it's easier to just schedule an appointment and hope for someone good.

The phone service at this place is like a tech support call to Microsoft. Scheduling an appointment is ok, assuming you're not on hold for 8 minutes and have to hang up and call back like I did this morning. But trying to get some clarification to better judge issues or next steps -- good luck. Once you're in the office and seeing someone they are often very good, but the hassle of trying to get through to them, particularly when you feel of sense of urgency, is unacceptable. Somebody in their office should take charge of their client service issues.

PROS: Modern facility, large staff of doctors and nurses
CONS: Service is horrible. Don't try to get any assistance by phone.

I had several bad experiences with the general practice appointments I had. I always had trouble getting appointments with them, and several times I had appointments cancelled at the last minute. This happens, but with them it seemed all too frequent. I changed clinics because I could never get an appt in a timely fasion and have had much better luck since I've left. I wouldn't recommend them for general practice

It seems like the general practioner appts are ALWAYS running late which makes me late getting back to work. I had an incident also where it took all DAY for my emergency prescription to be called in. I feel like there is lack of communication between staff.
