West Valley Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics

Appointment was on time, the front staff was polite and nice and the appointment was very quick since it was an infant regular check up. The dental assistant however never smiled, looked disturbed, tired and bothered. With so much competition in the field I believe that first impressions are very important. Overall the appointment was fine, but the bed side manners of the assistant (who we saw more than the dentist) was awful. Because of this, we will find somewhere else to go in the future. There didn't appear to be any separate rooms either or a wall that separates you from others, so your sitting back there with 3 other chairs while 3 other dentist work on their clients. Maybe this is how it's done with Pediatric Dentist but it's different than what I'm used to with my own regular dentist.

I was very disappointed with the staff and Doctors. I called the office to get my daughter in for a broken tooth. The receptionist making the appointment was more concerned with the fact that my daughter was past due for a cleaning. They ended up scheduling her that day for a cleaning, addressed the broken tooth. Put her on antibiotic because the tooth was getting infected, and here is the kicker, they scheduled her appt a month out to have the tooth pulled. Plus made sure we paid sedation charges up front.
End result, I found and awesome Doctor with great staff in Peoria who say her the next day and took care of her and removed tooth same day.

It is really frustrating when you call to make an appt, are told you need a referal, you get your dr to send one over and wait a week to make sure it is received and then they can't find it and so you can't make the appt again because they don't have it so you have to start the process over. But it is your fault that they don't have it.

Then when you finally get an appt and go there they force your child to go back with out you when she doesn't want to and when she gets upset they tell you, "Oh well you will just have to reschedule"

Great office and location, very friendly staff, and Doctors. They are always so kind to my children when we go and they show true compassion not fake bedside manner.
