Great food. I've enjoyed the special buffets, tasting menus, and normal dishes here. The flight of scotch that you can get is also a treat, as are the deserts.

I had scheduled our holiday dept. party at Hayden's well in advance, but when we showed up, there wasn't a reservation for our party.

Pros: food was good, but took a long time to get

Cons: lost reservation; slow service

I've been here four times...inside and out next to the lake...Nice friendly people, and good food! Try the dessert sampler...it's a good share for two people and works out cheaper than two desserts. I'd bring anyone here, and there is a hotel attached (With Hot Tub Suites) if you need a little romance with the Mrs.

Pros: Lake Front (Man Made) Views and good burgers!

Cons: Desserts are too good, not sure which one to pick

My wife and I had dinner at Haydens last night and we had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and the service was superb. We have been to Hayden's a number of times and this time it was the best ever - keep up the good work guys - we will be back!

I used to eat here all the time in the bar with my mom. Leigh waited on us. She was exceptional. The food was excellent. Prices good. I've gone there for special occasions, the last being Valentines 2007. Anyhow, the last 3 times I've been in there - the service was horrible whether in the bar or in the restaurant part. They weren't even busy. The process took forever. The food was mediocre to bad. My boyfriend ordered a small steak - but it was ridiculously small. Two bites and it was gone. We couldn't believe it. They got his side dish wrong. My pasta dish tasted like a doctored up Lean Cuisine. We won't go back. There are other good restaurants on the lake. This is really a shame.

I am amazed at this place! This place is always busy and its no wonder why because of the great atmosphere, a ton of menu options, and a friendly cool staff. Last time I was in they had a packed house as well as a packed outdoor tent party - right on! I recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a great meal and a great experience. This restaurant apparently has a large banqet department, which is what the tent was for that night - cool backdrop next to the lake with all the lights up this time of year. Check it out it might become your new favorite spot to hang out.

I hesitate to give this disgusting restaurant even one star. It was AWFUL! Service was almost nonexistant, we couldn't get a server over to our table for a good 15 minutes after being seated. The menu is extensive, but the food is poor quality. I ordered an iceberg wedge salad, the "bleu cheese" dressing (more like cheap ranch) drowned everything and the lettuce resembled a pile of COMPOST. I also had a pizza, which came to our table STILL FROZEN! When I sent it back, the waitress acted as though nothing was wrong, zapped it in the microwave, and then made me feel like an idiot when we told her that the quality of the food was bad. I would avoid this restaurant at all costs, unless all you're planning on ordering is water... at least they got that right. Can you say KITCHEN NIGHTMARE????

Hayden's breakfast, leaves little to desire . They are over priced compared to competitors and I've never had a really good breakfast there. The eggs are dry/over cooked and potatoes likewise. My husband and I love going out for breakfast and won't go back for that meal, we tried it on 4 occasions. BUT WAIT... Now on to the good. We love their happy hour. Service on the patio is amazing (even though they often run short staffed). I love their happy hour food, it's as good as dinner at a fraction of the cost and portions are dinner sized, nearly! They've cut back on a few things recently and we've only tried that menu once, but hope they remain consistent to the old days. It's a nice way to end your work day, having salad or burger on the artificial lake in Tualatin. Drinks are good (lot of foo-foo). I love wine, but rarely order it, since it's over priced and the wine I love is marked-up 300% above their cost...highway robbery. So, I stick with my 1 cocktail and skip ordering a bottle of local juice and enjoy the patio. Dinner is good, served ala carte, so can be a tad pricey for the area, but nice presentation. All and all, it's the best for Happy Hour, which is where we usually spend our money here.

My family and I had such a great time at Haydens. Since it was our first time to the restaurant the server welcomed my family and treated us to a complimentry appetizer. My kids were given toys and paper chef hats to color on and then wear! Our server Kris was a great server and really made the evening fun for our family. Kris also dropped a hand written thank you card with the check which I have never received from any server before! Check out this place it was fun, the food was tasty and inventive, and the service was warm and inviting - WE WILL BE BACK!

We had planned to have a late lunch on a Sunday here. The young hostess gave us a look of death as soon as we arrived. Apparently the Sunday buffet ends at 2pm, and we were fine with ordering off the menu. After 15 minutes passed and no waitstaff arrived, we left. Their website says, "Our staff has been handpicked to offer the highest level of customer service," which is a complete joke! The location is certainly beautiful but we won't ever be returning here. My colleagues like to come here for happy hours and I am going to have to share with them why I'll never ever eat here after this experience.

We were seated outside on a sunny day to enjoy a Birthday Brunch. The waiter did not acknowledge us even after walking past us several times. We finally had to ask to place an order and when we did he looked at us funny as if our request was unusual. (We had asked for fresh whole milk for our coffee instead of the little containers of half and half which were sitting in the sun and for who knows how long). The waiter had no personality did not smile and was not friendly. The coffee was not served until our meal was served-by another waiter I might add and we had to ask for spoons, ketchup, tabasco, jam, etc. I even got up and retrieved a set of salt and pepper from another table. The food was good but cold within minutes of being set down on the table. He passed us by with the coffee twice and we finally had to ask for a refill. When we complained to management he just made excusses and didn't even offer to buy our coffee. Needless to say, I will never eat there again. (I was a waitress for eight years)

This restaurant is one of the best in the area! It can get crowded but it is worth the wait. Atmosphere is clean and upscale. Food has always been very good and quick, in my personal experience. Waitresses are friendly and will accomodate your needs. Aimie and Miranda are very cheerful and wonderful to converse with; they will make your visit very pleasant! Weekends are extremely busy, espically when Tim & Jim are there! These guys are the best and a must see! Visit Hayden's and have a great time and enjoy the food! Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner will not be disappointing! See ya there.....

I love Hayden's whether it is for breakfast, lunch, or dinner I am hooked! The restaurant is warm and inviting with staff that do not sound like "corporate robots" taking your order! Everytime I am in I see the staff visiting with other locals that have found this incredible place to eat. I came in last Sunday for Brunch and they had a live Jazz Trio and complimentary champagne when I ordered my meal - talk about hitting the spot! Tim and Jim are amazing in the bar along with the cocktails! The food is amazing with so many options to choose from this is my favorite place to get a great meal! I can't wait until summer to sit next to the lake! Cheers!

My husband and I have been to Haydens several times since moving to Tualatin, mostly for happy hour, since having dinner there once and being disappointed. the only thing that continues to draw us in is the live music on the weekends. the food is nothing special AT ALL, the cocktails are the same, and the service is beyond horrible, there always seems to be a HUGE lack of staff.

This place used to be a favorite of mine, but has certainly gone downhill. The food was OK, but the wait staff was incredibly annoying. They consistently interruped my sentences, and those of my date. We were unable to have a cohesive conversation because the staff demanded our attention so frequently. I have never experienced anything like it and hope to never again!

Used to be a frequent diner here, but it is now relegated to warm weather brunches only, because it's hard to screw up brunch!

The new chef's menu is unimaginative, and the service is awful! I used to overlook the poor service because of the food, but it's just not worth it anymore. I miss the other chef who would come out and talk before and after dinner......There are so many other fabulous dining adventures now that Bridgeport is up and running.....go there before you take this detour.

My family and I come to Hayden's all the time, and it is definitely one of our favorites. Even with all the new bridgeport restaurants in the area, Hayden's remains the best food and service in the area. Always great parking (which is important when you're hungry). Also we had my sister's wedding reception here and the banquet staff was GREAT. They also have new smaller portions available on the menus which is perfect for myself who always ends up with leftovers. Save your self from the hassle of the bridgeport area and come here!

I have dinner with my wife on Aug 19, 2007 at Hayden's Lakefront Grill.

I ordered a 3 Course wine dinner and she had a salad and a Chicken Pie. My steak was late (the guy at the next table already finished his dinner) and my steak was ruined as they over cooked it. The worst was her salad never comes. The outdoor service was not good as the waiters were running around but didn?t really tentative to the diner's need. I was not offer pepper for my salad when they served it. It seems that they can only doing one thing at a time.

I kept the receipt to remind me never to go there again. I will not suggest any of my friends to try their dinner.

However, my previous two breakfast experiences at Hayden?s were good

We showed up without reservations on a weekday and were still seated almost immediately and there were 11 people in our group! I was also flabbergasted when they didn't even flinch when we asked for 11 separate checks!! WOW! The service was incredible and every person in our group raved about their lunch selections. The prices were a bit high, so you should expect to pay a bit more, but when you consider the food and service, it seems reasonable that your bill will bit a bit more. I would like to come back for an evening meal with a group and see how this place fares, but I can wholeheartedly recommend Hayden's for a lunch time meal!

My husband & I went here for the first time ever on our anniversary. All the hostesses were sweet and seated us immediately. Waters were recieved right away and were constantly refilled (a huge plus for my husband who goes through them at an incredible rate!) Our waitress was friendly and super helpful. I ordered off the daily menu - a seaside steak with crab, mashed potatoes & asparagus. I received the wrong order - a huge hunk of plain steak. The waitress was so accommodating, my order corrected so quickly and was SO delicious that I didn't even care about the mistake. She gave us each dessert on the house which she didn't have to do at all. I highly recommend the cheesecake though - she even took off the pecans for my picky husband and created a new topping with brown sugar. Love her! My husband ordered a burger which he says is one of the best he had ever had and it came with his favorite fries - seasoned criss cross so he was happy. Definately a winner, I can't wait to have another occasion to celebrate because I'll be going here again!

I have eaten at Hayden's quite frequently and have had the opportunity to try various items on the menu and yet to receive a bad meal. My most favorite is the fresh fish they get in on a daily basis. All of their fish is currently coming in from Hawaii which is a nice treat. You want to add a little something extra, try their wonderful desserts.

Throughout the years Hayden's Lakefront Grill has been one of my favorite dining spots. I had always recommended the restaurant to friends and business associates. The food has always been excellent. However in recent years their service has declined from "stellar" to down right offensive. Maybe it's the snooty teenage hostess that greets you with a "why do I have to care" and dragging thier feet attitude or the incredibly forgetful and unapologetic waitress that cant even refill your coffee cup without be asked four times. Having experienced this type of service more than once and having no response to the customer comment cards or on line comments, I feel that this may be the standard mode of operations and therefore I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Our waitress didn't know how to serve wine. She brought drinks to other members of our party, and then set our bottle of wine (not the correct vintage) on the table and walked away! She stopped to take another table's order before returning 5 minutes later with glasses and a corkscrew. She never checked back with us to see how we were doing, until we were clearly finished with our food. We had to ask for more butter for the bread, and overall, the food was slightly above average. The one shinining moment was dessert... excellent!

I just catered a weekend long event through Haydens, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results.

First and foremost, the food was delicious....never have I experienced better catered food (even the steamed veggies were perfectly al dente...a pet peve of mine) and a more attentive wait staff. We had various meals prepared from a simple breakfast to carvingboard deli lunches to chicken cordon bleu and even a mexican fiesta of pulled pork enchiladas.....all were excellent.

I was proud to hear all of the raves that the food garnered, and the variety of banquet rooms gave us plenty of space for our event.

Thanks you, Haydens for yet another positive cullinary experience!

I strongly urge anyone looking to book a space for a rehearsal dinner or business banquet to call upon Chef Mark and the staff at Haydens!!

Food is always good, try the Happy Hour menu as a sampler! The wine list is small, but good. They offer many seasonal dishes, rarely will you see the same menu twice, but you'll find your old favorites there! Try the Ahi Tuna sandwich, it is great! I recommend the field greens with blue cheese, it is a meal in itself! We'll always be faithful to this place, even worth the extra drive from Portland!

Hayden's was quite a find, a restaurant that caters to Atkin's customers. There Atkin's menu had several fine entrees, appetizers, and desserts. Service was excellent and the whole experience enjoyable. The diversity in the menu gives my spouse, who is on a non-Atkin's plan, a nice selection too.

We love this place in the summer, sit outdoors and enjoy their decent priced, excellent quality meals, and tons to take home! Great menu, changes regularly. The staff does a great job with all the people. Winter, we love to snuggle in, sometimes in the lounge and enjoy some spirits and fabulous food or spectacular happy hour. Full meals for under $5. This place can't be beat, even if it is out of the way from Portland.

Pros: excellent menu!!!, fair prices, yummy, atmosphere, parking

Cons: There's only one

Unfortunately, I was sadly disappointed by the service and the food.

The wait person tried way too hard to sell salads, soup. She also pushed additional drinks when our glasses were still half full.

One member of our group ordered a steak dish medium well and received a relatively rare piece of meat. Although the wait person graciously took it back, the piece of meat that was returned was not the same. It was gristly, fatty, and equally underdone.

The Texas barbeque special, while ample, was very fatty.

Finally, back to the wait person. It was quite obvious who the host was in our group. Yet the wait person put the bill down in front of one of the other guests and then returned the credit card receipt by again placing an uncovered bill in front of someone other than the host.

I went to Haydens with mixed expectations, and left with a full stomach and pleasant memories....anyone who rates this place low must be a disgruntled former employee....It is a great, down to earth fantastic dining experience!! Give it a Try!!

Pros: great value, not too she-she, great cocktails

Cons: getting popular

I have dined all over Portland, from The Portland City Grill to Higgins, Heathman and beyond....and never have I had a more satisfying gastronimcal experience than at Hayden's in Tualitin.....

Chefs Mark and Madison personally came to my table and discussed the menu items. The pork tenderloin with Ancho chiles and sweet potato & pecan tales was out of this world! So was the beef with garlic mashed potatoes and fresh green beans.

The crayfish springroll appetizer is not to be missed, either! And the Oregon Field Greens salad with filberts and blue cheese with a raspberry vinagrette is lovely.

Those unhappy with Haydens are few and far between....most seem to be from the Sunday Brunch, which is a value (FREE for kids) that you have to allow a slip in service for. Dinner is the deal here.

Do yourself a favor and visit Haydens SOON!

Pros: great food, great winelist, great service

Cons: not open 24 hours, no prepackaged foods

Read all the reviews; decided to give this place a try. Might have been a mistake to go on a Sunday evening. Most of the wait staff were teens, and it looked like we got the rookie!

Service was really bad! Not sure why the heat was turned up to about 100 degrees; it made my 3 year old want to take all his clothes off... Waitress was asleep at the wheel.

The food was okay; but we didn't get exactly what we ordered. Other people in our party didn't want to "make a big deal about it".

We won't be going back.

Pros: Cheap, Free kids meal Sunday

Cons: Inexperienced help

I took my wife here one evening just to try something new. We were blown away with the effort made my all of the staff to make our dinner enjoyable. The chef came our to our table before we ordered to explain some of the items of the menu, since we had never been here before. The food was great! I have never had a steak that was as tender as that one was. It was like cutting french toast. It was nice to not have to go downtown to find excellent food!

Pros: attention to detail, tasty food, live music some days

Cons: wait for good seats

Finally a dining experience to brag about, this place has it all together. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu, the Chef walked around to make sure everything was good, as did the Manager. Having a view of the lake with ducks was an added bonus. We can't wait for a nice day so that we can sit outside and take advantage of the beautiful setting. As for "Ronnie's" terrible rating, I think he must have been at a different establishment.

Last Sunday we headed out for coffee and to try a new place for breakfast. We ended up at Hayden's and we're pleasantly surprised.
The food was good, the service friendly and very fast.
We we're immediately sat outside at a "lake" front table and the wiatress did a very nice job.
My girlfriends omlette was very good and I enjoyed the salmon hash (although not the best I've had locally).
All in all a fine place to eat breakfast and I've had similar results in a previous dinner.
Nice place, and plenty of ducks to finish off your toast.

Pros: Fast, solid/good food, ducks

Cons: bicyclists, a clown! scary

The worst staff, food and ambience you could ask for. If zero (0) where an option I would still try to subtract from the rating.
People in this area must venture further into Portland. This isn't even as good as TGIF or Olive Garden.

Pros: They had parking

Cons: everything else

There are only a few places in this area where you can get a restaurant-type meal, and Hayden's is not a bad choice! There is always something fun going on in the bar, the happy-hour prices are good, and the man-made lake is kind of enjoyable to watch. The food leaves a little to be desired, but it's not too bad. They put cold salmon on caesar salad, it was odd, and too salty, but a clever approach I guess. I love squash ravioli but these were swimming in sugar water and huge shavings of cheese. Unfortunatly I could barely eat 2 of the ravioli they were so sweet. All of the grill items smell great as you walk to your table past the kitchen. Check out their wine tasting night, if they still have 'em.
