Maybe I am missing something, but I thought the concept of Zoomcare and similar businesses is that you can avoid going to a hospital emergency room and get immediate care when it is required. Not so.\r

Zoom Care is not for actual injuries and not a substitute for urgent care. I think for simple illness or something a Physicians Assistant can handle it is OK but once you get checked by the PA you may be told you need to go to the ER.

I have been to Zoomcare in Portland on two separate occasions. Once I went to the one on Alberta, and once to the one at Cascade Station. Both times I received what I consider to be an incredibly low standard of care.

On the first visit

As with the other reviewers I was seen very quickly, in my case for lower back pain. I hobbled in on a Monday morning; the PA (physicians assistant) did a few basic physical tests then wrote the order for Providence to give me an X-ray

Cons: impersonal not appropriate for complicated medical problems

If you need a checkup or something simple this place is awesome(I think). I was in and out in 15 minutes, no wait time, no long paper work the doctor even came out to great me. So why one star? Two reasons, pain and loss of sleep. IF
