Hyatt Carmel Highlands Big Sur Coast

My date and I got to the restaurant right at sunset but it was a foggy so we couldn't really see much of view from our table. It was not what I planned for but what happened after made up for it. The restaurant had large windows so you actually see the ocean on a nice day.... dim light, wood everywhere.... very romantic and comfortable.

The meal took about 3 hours... we did the tasting menu with wine pairing. Whew.... it was a lot of wine... the servers were attentive and we were amazed with each dish that came out. Everything was perfect......make sure you bring someone you won't drive you crazy because you'll be there for hours. We ended up going to the lounge right next to the restaurant to enjoy some jazz music... a drink or two before we left.....what a night! =)

This was actually my first fine dining restaurant experience from years ago....and this sparked my interest to many more restaurants...the beginning of my foodie adventures!
