Want New York style pizza? Brooklyn Style has what you need because it gives you pizza style exactly from New York!
5This is one of our favorite pizza places. The crust is always divine. I adore their homemade italian salad dressing. They usually offer a coupon on the Valpak envelope for $3 off. Highly recomend this place.

I have been a customer of West Brooklyn Pizza for literally 20 years. The current owner is not the original, but they have kept the spirit of the original establishment -- including the decor, most of the menu, and (importantly!!) the Pizza recipe.\r\n\r\nI have never been disappointed in the pizza. I'm not a ""NY Pizza Snob"" as some may be, but I *do* appreciate a good pizza: it's moist, the toppings are plentiful, and the cheese and sauce are real. The crust is delicious. I highly recommend having the complimentary garlic put on; it's amazingly good.\r\n\r\nSometimes the service is a little brusque with the current owners, but hey it IS a ""New York"" kind of place... the one thing I would change is, the TV mounted above the counter: That's new, and it's always on and very loud. This is a dealbreaker for me enjoyng my meal in the premise, so now I always order to go or have it delivered.

Pros: Easy parking, great decor
Cons: Loud Television, brusque service
Ordered 2 large 16"" pizzas, $22.10 each. One with pepperoni, onions, and olives. The other Italian sausage, bacon, and mushrooms. I was there in between lunch and dinner. The restaurant is located within the more industrial area of the city, and it appears that they have been in business awhile. They have a nice counter with one TV set to watch. There are numerous NY decorations on the wall, and the ecclectic mix is very nostalgic. This is a family run place and usually they are truer to the pizza. It took a long time for me to receive my order. This is not a good sign considering I was their only customer. The level of detail and refinement is missing except for the fresh grated parmesan. I say this because the onions were not chopped. The bacon which was very fatty was cooked raw on the pizza which did not impart a crispy and full flavor one expects. The sausage was very thin and sparse. The pepperoni was a lower grade approaching bland. So the topping quality is on the poor side. The cheese and mushrooms were plentiful and rescued the pizza from the poorly prepared crust. Gumline and partially cooked dough was present throughout the pie even to the edge. Some would consider the pizza unedible, but I'm so used to this presentation in crusts on the west coast that I expect it to be there and have come to tolerate it. The sauce had a great Italian flavor. In just eating the scraped off toppings, cheese, and sauce, one did get a pretty good blend of what is a pizza. Eat it with your favorite bread and dump the crust. Strike out this place for well prepared NY style.
