Excellent knowledge, great service and Affordable. They're work is amazing, and when they do an inspection - they made sure that my BMW was running correctly and proper. The work that they perform saved me a lot of money (not just immediately but also in the future).

This is by far the best group of guys,very friendly and accomodating,they always manage to fit you in even without an appointment and their prices are very fair and no BS.

Spending money on car repair is always painful. So for me, the only thing that cures the pain is knowing that the work being done is top quality at a fair price with friendly service. House of Brakes goes above and beyond by taking the time to explain the details of the repair, even showing you the parts they replaced and the areas of wear/failure. Taking my car to them always feels like a healthy investment in the safety and performance of my car.

You'll get the same feeling as when you get in a family-own restaurant: it might not look super fancy, but the food is awesome, and cheap.

You take an appointment, you drop the car on the morning, get it back by 6PM. Prices are clearly below what you'll pay at a dealer, simply because they'll try to fix what's possible instead of replacing everything. Let's be honest, when you bring your car to the dealer you never know what to expect. My Honda Pilot had its A/C system down 3 month after the warranty expires. The Honda dealer quoted me for $2000 to change it, as "it was dead". Armand, the owner of house of brake, actually worked on the system and FIXED it for $700. He FIXED it. He didn't replace it, he repaired it... Because yes, he does know his job. Than I realized that when at the dealer, they tell you "you need to change it" it means "I won't waste my time fixing it when I can charge you for a new one".
At house of Brakes, they know their job and can find/use used parts if you don't want to pay high prices for nothing.
My Pilot and my S2000 are serviced by them now and I won't change that!

These folks have been servicing my 3 vehicles for more than 3 years and I have nothing but praise for them. The owner, Armand, is extremely knowledgeable, courteous, sympathetic and more than helpful. His staff extends every courtesy to me and work diligently on my car performing beautifully and quickly. I couldn't recommend a better repair service in all of Marin. They clean up all the dealers errors and at half the price, too.

I have been doing business with them for 20+ years and have always been treated extraordinarily well in every respect. Service is excellent and personable. Repair costs have always been very reasonable and regularly less than price quotes I have received from other shops. Disputes over charges are rare, and, when they arise, are resolved equitably.They treat you very fairly and are entitled, in return, to be treated fairly by their customers. I can only surmise that the customer who wrote the first review is guilty of his own sleazy conduct and is trying to gain revenge through the anonymous poison he spreads on the internet.

I have been going to this shop for more than 20 years, with 100% satisfaction. Service is excellent and accommodating. Pricing is very fair and frequently below what I have been quoted from other shops. On those rare occasions when we have had disputes, they have always been equitably and amicably resolved.
"Autoknight" seems to have lots and lots of experiences with 12 different shops that he has reviewed; kind of like a job resume that shows job-hopping on a month-to-month basis. Alternatively, perhaps he is a real "expert" in the field and would like to publicize his credentials to give more weight to his reviews. Clearly, I disagree vehemently with his review of House of Brakes.

This guy is pretty slimey. I took the car there for a minor repair, he charged me a fortune and I had to keep taking it back. It took me forever to get the car right.
