There is always a line at Mario's. We ate there once, enjoyed the decor and the atmosphere, and especially the food. The white pizza is a family favorite, and the kids love the spaghetti and meatballs. There are a ton of choices and portions are huge!! To avoid the lines though, we just get take out!!

My family loves this Mario's! While Dad orders the regular-size menu items, the smaller size are plenty for Mom and I. The Chicken Cacciatore and Chicken Parmesan dishes are great. And as another reviewer said, your wine glass comes full to the brim and no teensy-weeny glasses here. These are healthy portions! We all love the murals, too, as you really feel as if you are in Italy. The balcony-like murals are beautiful! Also, the wait times are enjoyable, as we usually get a glass of wine in line and strike up conversations with those around us, who can be snowbirds from up north, year-round residents or weekenders from LA. Really a friendly, enjoyable place to eat with easy parking in this mall setting just off Washington.

PROS: Good food and wine; friendly, efficient staff, outdoor tables w/heat lamps
CONS: Wait times at peak times

This is my favorite restaurant to bring out-of-towners. I trust the kitchen 100% to make our meals as delicious each time we come as the 1st time we ever ate there. I have been to all of their locations and like the Rancho Mirage location the best because of the outdoor patio. There is usually a small wait time if you show up during peak hours (lunch hour, dinner rush), but well worth the brief delay. You won't be disappointed if you are looking for authentic Italian food at a great price in comfortable, casual atmosphere. Tip: The lite-eaters portion of the menu is plenty.

PROS: Casual, authentic, comfortable.
CONS:

This is my favorite Marios in the desert. All five are family-owned - I believe the family comes from Brooklyn. Just had a tasty antipasto salad, a side order of giant meatballs and linguini with red clam sauce. Yum! And when you ask for a glass of Chianti - it comes full to the brim. Fast, reliable service, good food and reasonably priced. We come here often.

PROS: I love the mural of Italy on their back wall.
