If you want to wait nearly an hour for a cold breakfast, get snubbed by staff who are put out at your mere presence and generally be made to feel like you aren't welcome, this is the place for you!!

The staff is rude. The food takes

If I could give this place a negative rating I would....we had been to the old Egg Shell several times and today went to their new location for the first time....service was absolutely terrible....we waited over 35 minutes after placing

The Egg Shell received a case of 30 dozen new eggs about 5 a.m., an hour before the restaurant opened. "Then we just remade everything. It wasn't a pleasant morning," Bevan said.

By 8 a.m., The Egg Shell's distributor made a fresh delivery. It turned out the eggs Bevan tossed were fine.

Still, precautions are abundant. The restaurant uses about 5,000 to 7,000 eggs a month. In the kitchen, employees wear gloves. The person who cooks the eggs doesn't crack them. Instead, one person cracks them all and transfers them in a cup to the cook, cutting down on potential contamination.

Let me tell you that the person saying that it takes 2 people to crack eggs is full of..................., the person believing and writing about this is even more full......................
Anything goes for cheap publicity. Sad.

I've been to the Egg Shell hundreds of times in the old location, but I had not been to the new spot until now. I work at Janus and have been having trouble finding a good, quick, well priced lunch place. A friend of mine recommended that we try the Egg Shell-whoa-I didn't know they could do a burger like that. Apparently the use the highest level of prime beef for their burgers. I paired it with a Sessions Lager and still got out of there for under $10 including tax. Sat outside and loved the patio.

We have found a new lunch restaurant in CC. The owner told us they will be doing some lunch specials all summer long. Can't wait to see what else they can do.

Pros: patio, lunch specials

Cons: patio had a wait for seating

We came in with a party for 15 at 10am on a Sunday. We expected things would be a bit slow when waiting for a table but we were seated surprisingly fast. We drank up several of their delicious blood marys and my sisters each had mimosas. We ordered a wide variety of items from egg skillets to burgers but the food all came out hot and cooked perfectly.

Everyone at the table raved about how amazing their food was. And my kids loved the pancakes from the kids menu.

We came in during what was probably their busiest time and the staff treated us like we were the only people in the restaurant -- the owner even came up to chat with us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. We had a truly amazing family brunch.

We would recommend the Egg Shell a 100 times over. And I hear they also serve lunch so I'm going to get my coworkers in here with me next week...

Pros: staff was incredibly accommodating; delicious bloody marys

Cons: busy place - but i guess that's probably a good thing

We sued to love this place. My husband used to take my daughter every Sunday. You would always have to wait for a table as they were packed, always. We went a few months ago, Sunday morning 8 am and only a few tables were taken. The food was ok and the service slow. We also thought it was pricy compared to other breakfast places. I wondered if the opening of Snooze close by has taken it's toll, or if they are under new ownership. It was just not the same and I think we will move on too.

I was really looking forward to trying this place, how disappointing. On the surface it seemed like it would be great, but the music was way too loud, there were bugs in the plant at my table, the food arrived luke warm (though the presentation was nice), and I found a hair in my potatoes. The staff did not seem too concerned. YUCK! I am really sorry that my experience was so negative, hopefully they will be able to get their act together.

Pros: good coffee and nice location

Cons: food disappointing, not as clean as one would like.

I was in the building where the new egg shell is located having tea . The music from the egg shell downstairs was loud and disturbing. I went dowstairs to ask that they turn the music down. I was polite, tjey said "no problem" and turned it down. Then they turned the music up. I went downstairs again with the same story. The third time I went down to ask, the owner of the egg shell asserted that she was the "anchor store" thus the needs of other business was of no concern to her and that she wouldn't turn the music down. She doesn't care that it might damage another nice business run by really nice people. I urge you not to reward such a lack of community or respect for others. Don't eat at the egg shell.

Pros: looks like a nice place

Cons: but this woman is a bad neighbor

I have been eating at the Egg Shell once a week for almost twenty years, and I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal there. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but if I had to choose my favorite dish it would have to be either the Eggs Benedict or the Shep's Favorite. Their lunch entrees are tasty, as well (but it is usually hard for me to pass up the breakfast items). Friendly service and a great atmosphere, too.

Pros: Food, Ambience, Service, Surrounding Neighborhood

Cons: Can be hard to find parking during peak times

This is without a doubt the best breakfast restaurant in Denver. I have been there dozens of times and always had fantastic friendly and efficient service and excellent food. Menu highlights include the "shooting star" skillet, the "high country" and potato pancakes. When I go for lunch I usually order the reuben or the burger, and they are so good that I find it hard to order anything else! On my last visit I discovered that the restaurant has wireless internet -- I will be taking my laptop from now on!!

For 3 people our bill totalled 35.00 with tip. We oredered 3 breakfasts and 2 coffees. I could not believe that one dish which consisted of scrambled eggs with 2 pieces of the worst turkey sausage patties and 2 of the biggest and tasteless pancakes was about 9.00.

It was ridiculously overpriced-probably typical for "Cherry Creek", and the worst breakfast I ever had.
i will never order pancakes anywhere else again besides the Orignal Pancake House where they actually know how to make pancakes.
