.

Took my son there for lunch. Waited 50 minutes for a hotdog, fries and a burger and an order of onion rings. Total cost $25.

When we walked in there was a small family at one table, a single diner at another and two guys at a third table. The single diner was paying to leave, the two guys had just gotten their food and the family received theirs shortly after. So, all we had to do was order and wait. Should have taken about 15 minutes, maybe.

Nothing had any flavor. I ordered a footlong hotdog (which they serve on a 8 in. bun) with sauteed peppers and onions with swiss cheese, bacon and chili. When my food arrived it was missing the bacon and chili. There was no flavor, except for a lot of vegetable oil grease.

My son (who is 17 and can eat massive amounts of food) had the classic burger with onions and hot sauce. He took a few bites of his burger, along with a bite of my hotdog and just shook his head.

We also got an order of onion rings to share. They were ok but dripping with oil.

A few other things we thought was weird. Their menu has many things you'd expect to find at a higher class restaurant, such as lobster tails (at market price), and steaks. Not something that you would expect at a hamburger place.

I always wondered why there weren't any cars at this cute looking place. After today, I know why.

Save yourself some money. Go to Friendly's down the street. Or, for a great burger, head to Five Guys which is a few miles down the road. Neither of them will be a disappointment. Promise.

Pros: Small restaurant with 50's inspiried decor

Cons: Food and service

.

This place is right on Farmington Ave in Bristol. The food is really good, and the service is fast and friendly. There is even an outdoor eating area for nice weather days. The only downfall is that they do not accept check or credit, It's cash or nothing, so have some on you.
