Bazaar is my go-to neighborhood Russian deli. Alright, so everyone has a favorite, and this place is mine. The little dirty secret that all Russian stores share is just how much is trucked from the Russian "bazas" (warehouses) in NYC that is the true eastern European epicenter in America. Most places are around Brighton Beach Brooklyn, which is what Chinatown is to Chinese. Back to Bazaar, my favorite staples include what Russians call "zakuski" or appetizers. Typically these are herring, pickled cabbage, eggplant caviar, mushroom salad and the like. Naturally all go superbly with vodka. Fresh blini (russian crepes), smoked fish, smoked meats add to the variety. Go on, ask to sample what you like! And in the end, depending how much you spend, you'll get a free gift. Can't beat that !

Pros: fresh and authentic euro deli

Cons: hard to navigate if you don't know what you want

Russian food is generally good and tasty, but at these stores the owners don't care about quality because they know their customers are not get used to it. Usually it's impossible to find packing date on the boxes, jars or cans, lots of products are on the verge of expiration or even expired - sometimes you have to throw away what you've just opened. Some packing are clearly damaged.

I like this store a lot and it's my first stop when I'm buying European groceries. Delicious cold cuts, pickles, eggplant salad, etc. Everything looks yummy. Me perosnally, I adore the Napoleon cake. AWESOME!

I like this store more then other similar ones in the area - great selection, service, prepared foods are excellent. Add to that great prices and you have a winner. Caviar, sweets, cold cuts - you name it they have it. And a good selection of Russian region alcohols too.

Good ethnic collections. Strong bindings withthe ethnic culture & essence of hinduism. truely a place worth visiting. highly recommended for all Indians. Parking may be a problem as the place is sometimes hugely crowded. Also, huge variety of gourmands. Various spices and masalas from all parts of India are available here. Nice place.
