Avoid this dentist!!! He is rude, unprofessional and cares more about making money than the health of your teeth. He told me I needed braces. I've been to four other dentists in my life and none of them told me I need braces. He also acted disappointed that I had no cavities. He also refused to treat me if I did not get a cancer screening test that is not covered by my insurance. I don't know why I need a cancer screening test when I am young, don't smoke and no one in my entire family has ever had oral cancer. This dentist refused to listen to any of my health concerns. It was basically, do as he said or find someone else. Furthermore the woman who cleaned my teeth did a horrible job. She didn't check for cavities and didn't floss. She thought she was the dentist and tried to lecture me. I respect doctors professional opinions but they aren't god. Its my body and my wallet. I have the right to have a say in what is done to my body and to refuse costly, needless tests that I can't afford. I regret seeing this dentist. The woman did a horrible job cleaning my teeth and the dentist was extremely rude and very unprofessional and treated me like a small child. Avoid this dentist!!!

I needed to have a root canal done. I knew I needed the root canal because I went to my long-time dentist who doesn't do root canals and is not in my plan, so with my insurance I choose to see Dr. Prisand because it was close by and he is in my plan.

I had to wait a month for the first appointment. It was cancelled 3 days before I was to go. They said the doctor wouldn't be in that day and gave me another appointment a month after that. I waited for the appointment as the pain started to grow because once you select your dentist in the plan, it is a process to change it. Two days before the second appointment, the office called me to cancel that one as well. They said it was because the doctor wouldn't be in again. I told them that, I was in pain and that they had already cancelled a previous appointment, so they gave me another a week later.

I arrived at the dentist's office for the third appointment and was told that they tried to call me (which is BS, I gave them my cell number and had the phone on me) because they needed to cancel the appointment due to an emergency. YES, A THIRD CANCELLATION. I never even saw Dr. Prisand.

I called the insurance company and insisted to have them change the dentist without the month-long process, and to give me an appointment that day, and they found a place for me to go. I was in great pain and still might lose the tooth. It was infected and swallowen, and I am 2 visits in, on trying to save my tooth.

This could have been avoided if not for the carelessness of this dentist. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this guy.

As a side note. After mentioning him to some people that I know in town, they said the same kind of things happened to them with cancelled appointments. One also mentioned that the dentist wouldn't let her stay in the office where he was doing a procedure on a small child that was nervous.

I hope I don't lose this tooth.

This dentist is by far the worst dentist I have ever been too. I was told he was good by one of his employees who no longer works there. I guess she told me he was good because he gave her a paycheck. My teeth could literally fall out before I would go to Gary Prisand. He should not be allowed to practice in the state of NJ or any state for that matter. POOOOOR bedside manner. He is more interested in talking to his dental assistants than his patients.

He tries to make humor of all your dental issues, not being serious at all. He is very quick to refer you to a specialist. When he should be able to take care of the problem himself (if he is a so called DENTIST). He can't do a simple filling. Come on..........that is ridiculous!

He charges fees for services not rendered. I filed a complaint with my dental insurance (which they are reimbursing my payment), and I will also file a complaint with consumer affairs. If he is a so called Dentist, I guess I can be one as well. He has no qualifications. He probably took out a loan to open up this practice and charges for every lil thing to pay the rent. What a poor excuse for a dentist. Charge me for a little bit of scope to wash out my mouth from his disgusting hands. Charge me to listen to his not so funny humor. He charged me for basically doing nothing. I would rather pull my teeth out myself.

I seriously would reconsider this dentist.
