Parkside Preschool II

I see that last review was written over four years ago and apparently something has changed cause Ms. Hack is not warm and friendly at all. She is very stand offish and seems to have a constant frown on her face. She never makes eye contact and rarely responds when I say hi to her. Not too long ,I overheard another parent confront her because her daughter keeps coming home complaining about her so my impressions of her must be true.The only time Ms. Hack does talk to me is when the school needs money or homework is due. Ms. Lupe is nice though, my son is learning, and the school appears colorful and clean.

To me the school has way too many days "off" and communication is an issue at times. When it snows real bad, the streets are never shoveled or plowed which is absolutely ridiculous to me. I also find it strange that they "don't have a bank account" or an "bookkeeper" to track the days you pay for extended services so if you aren't on top of it and speak up for yourself, they'll take your money for days your child wasn't even there and say nothing to you about it. Some of the aides are nice but there are a few other ones that just seem like they always have attitudes and just don't seem cheerful and outgoing to be working with little kids.

Overall, the school is just okay for me, not very impressed with it. I will look elsewhere for child care next school year.

Excellent school, very clean and most importantly our childrens education is their first interest. Ms. Hack is an awesome teacher and my child Seren loves the facility. They teach the children so well, its just the best preschool in the entire newark area. Continue the good work, GO PARKSIDE!!!!!!!
