A friend of mine always hangs out at Bush Garden which started me going. The service is always amazing and the food... well... I used to live in LA and I would hit some pretty killer sushi places. I always have leaned toward trying more

Pros: very traditional sushi and Japanesse cuisine
Cons: non that I can see
I am not the biggest sushi fan but I do love this restaurant. I took my daughter there for dinner before going to the theatre and we had a wonderful meal. The setting and ambiance couldn't be better
4The bush garden has the best decor of any Japanese Restaurant in Portland. They have individual tatami rooms where you can put your feet under the sunken table. The sushi and sashimi are excellent. They make some of the best tempura I have ever had.
5as of last week or something. it's posted (on the front door) due to slow business from the construction going on all around it.

I've never been disappointed with a restaurant as I am today. I went there for lunch and had to wait 40 mins for my food to arrive. (I only get an hour for lunch) When my food finally arrived it was disgusting. I ordered beef teriyaki with

Cons: I waited 40 mins for my food, food was bad and the service was rude.
The room settings are very nice. The food is a bit overpriced. Especially for the quality you get.\r
The sushi was not good at all. I would have rather gone to Mio sushi or Saburo's ... maybe even sushihana for that quality of

Bush Gardens serves a variety of delicious Japanese dishes and serve sushi as well. The atmosphere is very oriental and they have seating areas where you sit on the floor around a table. The staff were friendly and the service attentive.
Close to the Max tracks and Pioneer Square.

I've only been for happy hour and amazed that we don't see wait staff for 30 minutes at a time when there are only 3 tables of customers. They literally disappear from the room.

Pros: Cheap HH prices. Good California Rolls
Cons: Smoke filled room and absent waitress
I used to go here for the happy hour menu a lot with friends. It was a regular thing. The service in the lounge has always been less than perfect. Still, the vibe was good and divey. Didn't mind spending $40 bucks on drinks to get $15

Pros: Used to be good food and service. At least we have the memories.
Cons: Inept, rude service. Inconsistant to subpar quality of food. Waste of time, money and hunger. Go someplace else.
just say NO!!! It was our daughters 21st birthday (golden birthday) and we were expecting something fun. As it was, we didn't see a waitress for over 20 minutes after we were seated, it was another 30 minutes after we ordered before we

We held our annual party for 60 people in their banquet room, but never again. Most people couldn't get drinks until 45 minutes into our party. Appetizers came out an hour late. We were supposed to have four servers but we only had two

Pros: It's food.
Cons: Price, service, food, cleanliness.
A lot of people consider this restaurant for its sushi and its dinners, but few have discovered its great ramen. \r
A couple blocks away is another restaurant that has a very extensive ramen menu. However its stock is made from a powder

My husband and I had show tickets downtown one Friday evening, so we decided to make a night of it, and eat downtown as well. We had eaten at the restaurant when we were dating several years ago, and thought it would be nice to go there

This is the place to go for great food on a Sunday when most good sushi bars are closed.\r
The soft shell crab is very good as is all the sushi I've tried.\r
The non sushi food here is great also.

The tatami rooms are a nice idea, but the food was not very good. The sushi was too tightly pressed and the rice overcooked, the gyoza lacked taste and the texture was awful. I expected better food from the decent reviews, but was

After driving past Mio Sushi where nearly a dozen people were waiting outside, my boyfriend and I drove down to Bush Garden because we knew there wouldn't be a wait. Within five minutes of sitting down at the bar, we were eating tempura

I'm from Seattle, and I'm used to the Pike Place Market, where fresh fish is an everyday occurance. While living in Portland I've tried several sushi places. Many were decent, but failed my expectations of my memories of Japan's sister

I have been going here since my college days (25 years) and love it for groups large or small. One does not go here for the best food, perhaps, but the BEST fun. Having your own room and enjoying the feeling of being back in Japan...I

Pros: Nice atmosphere,, great quality sushi,, many rarer items.
Despite the high rating, the food was higher in price and lower in quality than almost anywhere I've been in Portland. None of the other sushi restaraunts have as strong of a fishy smell right when you walk through the door, and the fish
