I am very dissatisfied with my visits to Dr. Cooper's office and am no longer a patient. First I had to wait a month to get a referral for an MRI. Her staff blamed the insurance, but they did not do their work. Her staff did not follow up with insurance until I made numerous inquiries. Horror of all horrors, Dr. Cooper prescribed, an expensive eye medication, tiny bottle , $120. for me, and I do not even have an eye infection. Turns out I was allergic to the medicine. Made my eyes red, red, red. And she could not be reached by phone for advise. When I did come into her office, I was seen by some other doctor that works there part time. How can I trust my health to such a doctor? I will never go back there or refer anyone else. Her staff is inefficient and rude as well.

My son had a blocked tear duct, and she prescribed Tobrex, he would cry terribly whenever I put the drops into his eye. I called her office and she insisted that I continue putting it in his eye because it was watering and made me feel stupid for not doing so. I finally just stopped the drops because it was breaking my heart that my son would get so upset. Turns out the Tobrex irritated his eye more than the plugged duct. He actually got better after I stopped the eye drops.
Also, her staff is disorganized and she is frequently out of town and unavailable. She also has a lot of "filler" doctors who see patients for her. Would not recommend. I think I will try the Dr. Orvitz that was recommended below the next time I need an eye doctor.

I agree with other reviewer. Dr Cooper's staff is terrible. They ignore you when you are standing at the front desk, and they treat you like you are bothering them when you try to make changes to your appointments. Dr. Cooper herself is pretty nice. A bit hyper though. My daughter likes her manic personality. I went to another pediatric ophthalmologist recommended to me, a Dr. Ornitz in San Mateo after I was treated poorly one last time by her staff.
Dr. Ornitz is really kind and sweet, and her staff treats you with respect. Dr. Cooper is OK, but Dr. Ornitz is better. I have switched my daughter's care over to Dr. Ornitz's office.

Dr. Cooper is an extremely friendly, but very professional doctor. I would highly recommend her office to anyone, young or old. I have been seen at the office for several years, and I have both of my children seeing her also. It is a very busy, but professionally run office. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The doctor has several assistants and other doctors in her office.

Dr. Cooper has been great. My son loves her and so do I. She is super friendly and very thorough. I would recommend her to anyone! She performed surgery on my 3 year old son and I could not ask for a better, kinder or sweeter Dr.

Dr. Cooper was kind of goofy, but we got relatively good service and I would go back. The only thing that bothered me was that she was trying to sell me sunglasses for all my kids from their optical center, which seemed a bit much.

I took my son to Dr. Cooper for his first eye doctor appointment. Kim is very friendly and she has lots of toys to keep the kids occupied. I was psyched to find out that she also did adults, because I needed an eye doctor and it would be convenient to do both of us at once. But I have to say, her office staff wasn't all that helpful with insurance issues and the last straw for me was when I had booked an appointment weeks in advance and when the time came, she had left to adopt a baby and I was not rescheduled. They said they called and left a message, but I didn't have one. It's possible that it got erased by my husband, but I think the least they can do is call back more than once. I drove from Foster City to Burlingame and tried to schedule it in between my kids' activities and it was a major pain to go and not be accomodated.
