Southern Family Market
?This grocery store has not impressed me since opening. They bought Bi-Lo foods in Greensboro and closed down one day last month to change over. Since doing that the prices on a lot of items I would normally buy there have gone up. They started off doubling coupons up to 60 cents but have since changed and will now double up to .99 cents max of 10 like coupons. There sales have not been that good either when compared to other stores in our area. The staff however at this location has pretty much stayed the same. The parking is good. The building is older so this location isn?t as large as other grocery stores in the area.?
Tanglewood Park
If youre looking for something to put you and/or your family in the Christmas mood this is the place to go. The Tanglewood Festival of Lights is amazing. They have a hayride, a small concession stand and the most amazing Christmas light display. The rates are dependant on two things what day of the week you go and the type of vehicle. We try to go during the week each year because its not as busy and usually pay around $8 a carload. Its definitely worth seeing.
Dollar King
I wasnt impressed with this store. I met a lady at a yard sale who said this is the dollar store of all dollar stores. So I took a trip there and found the store to be a nice size but they dont carry that many items. I found lots of little ornaments and very impractical items but general items like bubble envies, large black markers they didnt have. I would say if your not in the area its not worth a trip. Maybe over time they will increase their inventory but I havent been back to find out. The parking is really good because they are in a strip mall and the store was very clean.
Conference Store
If your looking for a gift idea for someone whos into a certain University teams this is the store for you. I can always find the perfect gift here. Like when our friends had a baby we bought a NCSU onesie, for Christmas last year we got ECU ornaments for my brother and sister in-law, for my husband NCSU picture frames. But that is not all They carry blankets, hats, clothing items, pens, Christmas dishes and the list goes on. They have the best selection of gift items I have seen anywhere for this type of merchandise. The prices are very comparable to other stores of this kind. The parking is great as they are located in a strip mall. The staff is very helpful and the store is packed full of merchandise.
Battleground Water Works
If youre looking for a quick car wash this is probably the place to go. I find the prices to be cheaper than the gas stations. You basically pull up, pick what service you want, pay and then pull ahead. The machine does all the work including waxing and drying your vehicle. There is a vacuum machine before you enter the wash area but you have to do it yourself. This is a great way to keep the salt off your vehicles in the winter (which doesnt happen much in NC).
Tobacco USA Incorporated
Tobacco USA was nothing like I expected. I figured it would be this tiny little shop that sold nothing but tobacco products. I was pleasantly surprised when I visited them. We found nice cigars to give out when we had our son and also found bubble gum cigars to give out to the children in our family. The kids loved being included by getting these. Anyway, they carry other items like gift type stuff, some house wares and some nice coffees. The store is easy to find and the parking was good. Since they arent close to us we dont go here often but are always happy when we do go. Enjoy!
Extra Ingredient
When most people think of The Extra Ingredient they think spices but this store is so much more. They carry a nice selection of coffee, tea, gift ideas, bake ware and yes they carry spices. We bought our cornbread pan from here and love it. Every year at Christmas I head to this store because I know I will find something for that one person on my list that has everything. The store is very crowded so I wouldnt suggest taking small children with you (or at least not my small child). The staff is very helpful. They are located in Friendly Shopping Center so parking is always good. The store is very clean and I know youll love it if you go by.
Qualitees
I have been very happy with the service and the quality of merchandise I have bought from Hanglys Qualitees. I am always able to find the sizes I need ranging from newborn all the way up to adults. They have a great selection of graphics to choose from. One of my favorite things about this store if you dont have to buy the shirts here in order to have them put graphics on them. I often buy shirts for my husband and son at other stores and take them here to have their names or nicknames put on them. The prices are very reasonable, parking was fine and the store was clean. Im sure if you go here you will be just as happy as I have been.
Sharon Luggage & Gifts
Sharon Luggage and gifts carries a lot more than just luggage. They have a great selection of gift items that can be engraved on. We found really nice money clips and had them engraved as gifts for our wedding party. We have bought a golf club for our son and had that engraved. They also have games, womans gifts, luggage, backpacks, and health and beauty storage bags. The list goes on. They are located in a mini mall so there is ample parking. The staff is very friendly and the store is one of the cleanest Ive been in.
Lighthouse Candle Shoppe
I was very impressed with this candle shop. They have a lot of different types of candles. They carry, tarts, votives and jars all coming in a number of scents. They didnt have the scent we wanted but we still walked out with some votives. In my opinion the prices run a little high but thats usually the case when you shop some of the smaller stores. The parking is great as they are located in a mini mall. The staff was very kind and helpful.
