This is a very common place to go and do groceries in town. The food is quality and outshines rival Shaws as far as quality and product selection go. But, if you are a frugal shopper, do not go here, because you will have to pay more for the quality experience you are receiving. If this applies to you, I suggest making the trip out to Price Chopper in Marlboro. They combine the best prices with quality.
If you want a quick breakfast thats reasonably priced and tastes good, this is your place. Don't worry, the long morning lines move faster than you would expect. The service isnt the best ( and sometimes there's one or two employees that aren't as proficient in english as you would hope) but a Dunkin Donuts is a Dunkin Donuts and their food always tastes good to me.
Many of the products offered at the Dairy Queen are unique and very good and cannot be found elsewhere. Thus, the lines at Dairy Queen sometimes get overwhelmingly long, but it is often worth the wait for the great tasting desserts. I cannot comment of their food (I've never ben brave enough to sample it) but they should be praised for the ice cream.
On a hot summer day when more than a few people are craving a frozen dessert, there will be a long line at Friendly's, which the extremely inefficient employees will take forever to work their way through. The service is similarly sluggish with the restaurant for the sit down meals. Also, their food is reasonably priced, but they charge too much for many of their ice cream products. If you live in the area, a better choice for ice cream would be PC Creams of Erikson's.
The kindness within this family owned shop is unprecidented. During the general lunch hour, Sud P's (as locals call it) is flooded with hungry local workers as well as tens of high-school students looking for a good meal. The service is great, with good prices for their food (compared to other places with similar product). During lunch, it is not uncommon for someone to walk around to every table and give away "chips on the house." Great Business!
If you are on Route 20 and are thirsty or have a craving for candy, this is your place! They have competitively priced fountain sodas and Icee drinks (amazing deals, especially for Icee's because of their rarety in the area). These are great, but we have to remember that the primary purpose of a Mobile is a gas station, and unfortunately Mobile is lacking in this area. Its gas prices are made to look bad by the Hess that sells much cheaper gas only a few seconds down the road (sorry mobile, you need to lower gas prices to compete).
As a regular at family cuts, I know which hair stylist I prefer (Gretchen). When I call to make an appointment, anyone who answers the phone is very helpful to me as I try to set up an appointment. The stylists who work there are very friendly, and often make interesting conversation during the hair cuts. The cut comes out looking nice and sharp. Overall, the Family Cuts experience is both relaxed and professional.
I would certainly make a trip out to strawberries if I wanted a new cd, but that is rare these days (since it is so much easier to download the file through an online music service). For this reason, strawberries has adopted the DVD and Video Game retail business - in these sections (especially video games), they offer terrible prices, that can easily be beat at other local retailers .
With Panera's sandwiches, you get what you are paying for. The prices seem high at first, but the savory deli and bakery is top notch. The customer may choose to order a custom sandwich, but I enjoy ordering one of their signature specials. You can even get a combo so that your combined order of sandwich, chips, and soda is cheaper.
