State Of Mind Salon & Day Spa
I was more than impressed with my first visit to the spa, as I got the star treatment. But when I came back with my husband, they weren??t so interested in impressing, as getting the job done. It??s a very nice spa and they have a HUGE variety of services. The salon is pretty decent too but very pricey. My only complaint is that when they??re busy they rush you right out of there.
Harvey House Bed and Breakfast
We spent our wedding night here after finding this beautiful location on the internet. Making the arrangements was easy as the owner was very kind and accommodating. When we arrived the owner had ran to the store and someone had helped themselves to our room in her absence. We relaxed around the house for almost an hour and when Beth (the owner) returned she quickly moved the other visitor, cleaned our room and apologized up a storm.
She then ran to the store and returned with a cheese and cracker spread and flowers to make amends for the mistake. She was so wonderfully sweet and kind. The room was amazing and so beautiful. I was disappointed we only got to stay with her one night and we will definitely be returning for our anniversary.
VIP Salon and Spa
I used this salon to have my hair done for my wedding on a recommendation from the location we were using since I??m out of town. Making the arrangements was difficult as they were very unwilling to work with me and weren??t even returning my calls. Right when I was going to give up and choose another salon they got everything arranged.
The stylist I worked with, Holly, was very nice and did an amazing job on my hair. My girl??s had their hair done there as well and everyone looked amazing. The make-up artist however did a horrible job; I looked like a transvestite and had to do my make-up myself.
The price was outrageous but I was very happy with how everybody??s hair looked.
Elvis Limousines
We reserved through this limo company off the internet for our wedding. They were very nice and helpful with the arrangements and when we changed something at the last minute they we happy to accommodate. However, we did not get the fully stocked limo with a bottle of champagne like we requested. The bar was completely empty and the driver was on his cell phone loudly the whole time. Kind of a let down when you??re driving away from your wedding.
Belle Amicis Italian Ristorante
This restaurant was recommended for me for my rehearsal dinner for my wedding by the location we were using. Since we were from out of town we took their advice and booked it. When I called to make the reservation and arrangements, I spoke with the same woman each time and she was very nice and helpful and excited for me.
However, when we got to the restaurant the time they had put us down for the wrong time, not that it mattered because the place was completely empty. Instead of the cozy little room I reserved they just pushed tables together for us in the back.
The eating experience was just as bad. The waiters were no where to be seen, the food incredibly overpriced and not good, and when my husband had a small complaint the manager shouted at him over it.
It was a very bad experience and we would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
Orlando International Airport-McO
When I first got to Orlando International Airport, I did a little airport shopping in one of the few souvenir stores they had and then headed to my gate. What I came to was a dead end hall that people were taking seats in. Imagine my surprise when the hall turned out to be a trolley of some sort and we shot to the other side of the airport to the terminals. I guess it can be a great security measure, but for those whove never been there before it was quite confusing.

Who enjoys getting a root canal? At Endodontics Inc having a root canal is no longer something nightmares are made of. I saw Dr. Robert Corns and he was compassionate and careful. He was aware that I was scared and he patiently calmed and reassured me. The procedure was much less painful than other root canals Ive had in the past.
Porter County Public Library
The remodel they did years back made an incredible different on this library. Its very modern with great new equipment and organized so theres space in between sections to linger and sit and read. I really enjoy this library, its two floors, adults on bottom and children on top. The story book reading location has huge windows looking down. This library does all kinds of super fun reading programs for children and while they may not have a huge selection, they have a huge love for books and thats enough for me.
Physicians For Women
This is by far the best Obstetric and Gynecological doctors in the area. Its a group so you rotate who you see, which can be good or bad. I absolutely adore Dr. Jones, and Nancy and Lisa. However, I do not like Dr. Wirsing who has no bedside manner and also who delivered both of my children. Whoever is on call comes, and that kind of upsets me, but the women are so amazing that I have learned to deal with his gruffness. I got incredibly ill after I had my first child and after an examination Dr. Wirsing passed it off like me just complaining. Luckily when I returned to the office days later I demanded Dr. Jones and she was able to start treatment immediately and seek out specialists to thwart what otherwise would have been a life threatening illness. As it was I spent the first month of my childs life in the hospital. However, I might not be here if it wasnt for Mary Ann Jones, so I make my appointments for days when I know Dr. Wirsing is not in the office.
Pepe's Mexican Restaurant
A lot of people in the area love the food that is served at Pepes and claim they find it authentic, coming from Texas I strongly disagree. However, the location in Valparaiso is a great nightspot. They have an awesome DJ and they play all of the latest dance music and hip hop. The crowd is generally younger, 21-34 but if you love to dance then age doesnt matter. Everyone is friendly and it has more like a party with your friends atmosphere than a club vibe.
