A bit pricey for their selection of food, even more expensive than the local safeway, the employees here are friendly and helpful. They have everything well organized.
Sherms Thunderbird
GREAT prices for groceries here. Everything is so inexpensive! It's warehouse style and the employees are very friendly and helpful. I'll definately come back!
Dollar Tree
They actually have decent merchandise and all for $1. Of course not everything is durable or of great quality, but what can you expect? The store is ALWAYS neat, and easy to find items, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
Big Lots
I love shopping at Big Lots. Everything is so inexpensive and they have a good selection of merchandise. I just wish the store was bigger so they had more!
Ross Dress For Less
Their prices compared to other local stores is a little more expensive, although Ross Dress for Less still has lots of bargains compared to other department stores like Macy's or Sears. The store is clean, but merchandise is hard to find!
Dell Inc
Don't ever call the Dell 800 number if you want a computer, try to buy online if you must. They don't care if you have no money or have poor credit, they will run you through the ringer by trying to get you something you don't need/want/can't afford. They train their employees to have no morals and sucker even elderly ladies on fixed incomes!
Times Supermarket
The cashiers always make small talk with you. I love their discount rack, it's so cheap!!!! And they have good selection. The store is old and small, but it has a good homey atmosphere. The meat selection is a lot better than Safeway's!!!
The Shack Kailua
Not too bad. Small town atmosphere. The food ain't too bad either. I had a good experience here. You can play darts, some video games, drink beer, watch sports on tv.
Teddys Bigger Burgers
The food is excellent at Teddy's. I go back just for the burgers! The service isn't that great though, cashiers who take your order don't smile at you, nor tell you 'have a nice day' and look at you at the same time. Still, the burgers.... Oh the burgers!!!
Kailua High School
While most of the teachers are nice, the school is severly lacking in other areas. The bathrooms were uninhabitable and there were repairs needed everywhere. Sharing textbooks with other students is not a way to learn. I have good memories of the excellent teachers I had there,
