For the Garden by Haefner's

Beautiful, Beautiful healthy flowers! And a lovely gift shop. I always buy way too much when I go there! They also hire a lot of local youth -- which is good and bad. They are not always trained as they should be and answer questions that they don't really know the answer to, like telling me that marigolds are perennials. So, look for an adult to ask your questions to. They know everything about plants. Great place for flowers and gifts for the gardener.

Marshall Nursery

This is the place to go if you want beautiful, healthy plants with a wide variety to choose from. Everything we have purchased there has thrived when brought home. They seem to be a little short on staff--sometimes taking quite a while to get help, but once you get help they know a lot about what they are talking about and offer lots of good advice. I highly recommend.

International House of Pancakes

Go there for breakfasat and order Harvest Pancakes! WOW! They are incredibly good and full of healthy things! You can eat healthy and still eat yummy! I've never eaten anything there I don't like, but the pancakes are the best. I'd highly recommend it to anyone. My only concern is that it is kept very cold and you need a sweater in the summer.

Men's Wearhouse

I shop at the S. County, W. County and Crestwood stores and they are all excellent. One of my son's is a tall, big athlete. His shoulders are broad enough to require a 2xl, but he is trim so often when I find things to fit on his shoulders, they hang everywhere. Men's Wearhouse is extremely helpful in finding clothing that works well for him and looks good on him. They must have an excellent sales training program because all of their staff is excellent. I have had to do one exchange and it was no problem. Excellent place to shop for nice clothes.

California Pizza Kitchen

We have eaten at 3 California Pizza Kitchen's in St. Louis on many occasions. The only problem I see is trying to figure out what I want to eat. There are so many things I love to eat. One can eat healthy AND eat delicious. Some day I'm going to go in there and just have dessert! It is a popular place, but the service is excellent and you can even call ahead and get your name on a waiting list. I love this restaurant. The only problem I see is that they turn their music on loudly and sometimes it is difficult to talk.

Ziegenhein John L & Sons

This review is for both the Lemay Ferry and the Gravois Funeral Home. My family has used both. The facilities are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly, caring, efficient and dignified. At a time when folks aren't doing their best thinking, they help you through the process with true sympathy. They don't try to push the most expensive product on you but help guide your decision making. They remember everything so you don't have to. It is a first rate organization I highly recommend.

South County YMCA

I have been involved with this YMCA over the years when my kids were young and as I have retired and worked out myself. It is a clean, happy, friendly facility. Everything depends on the quality of the instructor or coach, and that is haphazard. We have dealt with the best and the not so good. All in all, I would highly recommend it as a family friendly place to learn and stay fit with a cost that is affordable. As a retiree, I could do some jobs there (baby sit, tutor) to pay my montly fee.

Saint Louis County Public Library

What an amazing system St. Louis County has! I listed the address of the library closest to me, but it is a huge system. I simply get on the internet, put in my free library card number and search for what I'm looking for. When I find a book, audio, movie, cd, game I want, I ask that they send it to the library nearest me and they call when it comes. I can order books that are on a waiting list. I can request they get books. I can renew books online. It could not be easier. And, with the entier system involved, I always find what I want. I love this system.

Brighton Collectibles

The only thing that keeps me from buying out this store is $. Everything is beautiful and most in my taste. I watch for the occasional sale, but it is still expensive. But, I'd rather buy one really good bag from Brighton Collectibles than several cheaper bags. They have all the accessories that go together for a look that makes you feel complete. It is a very special store. I just wish the prices weren't quite so high.

Ronnie's 20 Cinema

BUSY BUSY Place, but despite that they manage to keep lines moving and the wait is never too bad. They have the latest movies and the stadium seats are so comfortable. As is true for most movie theatres in St. Louis, the prices seem a bit high to me for both movies and snacks. It is very clean despite the crowds. They do need to take better care of their bathrooms, keeping everything in working order to help keep the lines down in that area. But for a treat, I love going to this theatre.
