Nothing to get super exited about, but no problems either. The cleaning has been fine, the prices are average for the area, the service is timely, and the personnel are friendly. There is adequate parking and it's not difficult to get in/out. Although they ran a lot of specials when they first opened, they've pretty much stabilized and are competitive with other local cleaners.
We've taken regular cleaning (blouses, dresses, suits) and odd items (wall hangings), to be cleaned with never a problem. In addition, I've taken items for pressing only. The items have been well done and if there are any caveats, they tell them to you before you drop the item off, not afterwards! The prices are average, but the corner location is good for us and as the service has always been fine, we are repeat customers.
Be Jo is an open air self service laundromat. Although it is covered, you are prey to whatever the outside weather is! If it's hot or cold, so are you. Nonetheless, it's not a bad place to take a book and do your laundry - especially if it's a nice day. Some large machines, so you can take a bunch of beach towels, or a comforter, and enjoy a book and a breeze while you wait if you're lucky. The machines are clean and the supplies are stocked if you run short.
Largo Med seems to get a bad rap, but from what I've seen, the nursing care was great! The nurses who treated my family member were very throrough in their explanations, were very timely in their periodic checkups (and explained each time why they were there), were friendly and introduced themselves, and were responsive. The hospital was recently remodeled and is attractive without a super "clinical" feel to it.
Morton Plant receives consistently high ratings for its care. The Emergency Room is super, quick and well staffed. The hospital was somewhat short staffed as far as nurses last year at least in the surgical center (visitors to patients could often be seen helping patients who had no one present to assist them), but the nurses were helpful if a bit delayed in appearing. The hospital is clean and fresh, with no offensive hospital "smell" - in fact, I saw them painting a couple of floors during the nights!
Zebra Color is a full service photo lab, and does some developing for local photographers for show entries, etc., although it also offers a full range of services for your average photographer. They do color, black and white, slides, and will duplicate slides too. They also do digital scanning and printing...and have nice equipment! If you are looking to branch out into black and white photography, or are interested in it so you can tint it, or if you want information as well as services, Zebra is a good place to go.
Mr. McCrory, although a general practice attorney, actually specializes in personal injury work. He's not young, but still works as hard as a younger attorney who is trying to establish himself, and the results show it. He doesn't shilly shally around, but rather is diligent in pursuit of a solution to your problem. He is also a down to earth type of person, not a stuffed shirt by any means. Adequate parking, easy to get into the lot, pleasant office.
Creston is old, my dad went there more than 25 years before I did, and the stone steps had worn in the centers by the time I was there. Limited in size due to its site, it always seems crowded, and the parking is abysmal, but if a student is willing, a good education can be obtained. There are a wide variety of students, but in my experience, once you leave GR, Creston mirrors real life and is a decent proving ground before college or the working world. I was sorry to see that for many years it had a bad rep, but lately it appears to have been turning back into the school I remember - with knowledge and learning a more primary goal.
It's been a while since I've attended an event catered by OBC, but they do seem to set the standard in this area. The hot foods are hot, the cold foods are cold, and all of the foods are tasty! In addition, they are attractively presented and if a buffet, the tables restocked and maintained frequently, so no matter when you go it doesn't look "picked over" or unattractive. There are a variety of selections to choose from gauging from the events I've attended, and the personnel is unobtrusive yet friendly.
I was recommended to Dr. Bloom by a friend. It was an emergency type situation, but they were happy to "fit me in". Although my friend recommended them as they'd had great results saving his cracked tooth, it didn't work for me and it needed to be extracted. Nonetheless, the explanations were clear and concise, and the extraction, although difficult, was as "painless" as those things can be. The office was clean, friendly, and welcoming and the personnel pleasant.
