One of the only full service stations left around. Ask them to clean your windows or check your oil while your filling up. These guys are great. Pricey is worth it in the winter.
Beacon Falls Pizza Palace
When I call they know me as "the one who doesn't want to cook". Priced right to make my kids happy and they walk next door to get it. Eat in or take out, we're just regulars.
Sandwichman Family Restaurant
It's a Saturday stop for shoppers and a Sunday after church lunch place. They have reasonable prices on a large selection menu. Very family oriented, friendly staff, and on weekends the wait isn't too long.
Meeting Place
Nothing special about this diner. Food is good and priced well, nice servers. You'll get enough to fill you up. And that's what it is, a quick stop off the highway.
Balfour School Rings
It's exciting to watch your child's eyes light up when they bring home the school ring packet. The sales representative was kind and new about everything. She helped my daughter design her class ring to make it her own memory of those High School years.
Beacon Falls Market
This little market is packed with the last minute items you need. They can be expensive for some things, but still cheeper when its a short walk down the street. They always have a good sale going on in the meats department too.
Beany's Cleaners
I have my husbands shirts cleaned here, no ring around the collar or stain has ever passed these cleaners. The white shirts are bright, pressed and hung very neatly. Affordable and a quick stop on your way.
Florida Connecticut Post
I took a reporter for a ride in a tractor trailer one day so she could do a little story for her editor. She worked very hard on taking pictures and asking the right questions. She did research on women truck drivers beyond the call of her own duties. Those human interest pieces are the real thing, no spice needed. My story made the cover of the Sunday Post on June 24, 2007.
Piercing Pagoda
I brought my girls here for their first piercing. The attendant was great and very patient with my daughters while they were choosing there first earings. Priced right for first timers.
Maria's Tailoring & Alteration
I couldn't ask for a better tailor. Maria is inexpensive and very classy in her work. I had to get my daughter a larger dress for a wedding, but it was too big, the shop we got it from had no other sizes available and it would take a month to have it done. As a last resort I went to Maria and she was on the ball. The dress was perfectly done and my daughter danced all night comfortably in that dress. She has since done many clothes for me and my family.
