Mt Carmel Wine & Spirits Company is a lovely wine shop, that also sells liquor and beer. They are incredibly knowledgeable about wines and food pairings, and it is very easy to get someone to help you. They have excellent service. Their prices are competitive, and parking is never a problem.
Conveniently located on Rte 68 in Prospect, Locascio Liquors has a good selection of beer, wine and liquor. They keep plenty of cold beer on hand, so you can swing by on your way to a party or whatever, and not have to chill it. The staff is friendly and warm. Parking is ample.
D & D Liquors is about average as liquor stores go. It is not as cramped and overflowing as they have a good sized store when compared to others. It is convenient that it is next to Big Y and especially Blockbuster. This makes it easy to grab a bottle of wine and a movie to curl up with on a Friday night. The staff is nice and treat me well.
Town & Country Liquors is an average liquor store. They have the same prices as everyone else around. They have a bit more wine selection that some of the other local shops. The staff is always very friendly.
Right on Rte. 67 in Oxford you can find The New Spirits Of 67, as the name suggests. This shop has a good selection of wine, liquor and beer. There is always of plenty of parking, and a staff that is ready to help you. They keep plenty of their beer cold if you want it that way, and it is very easy to get in and out quickly.
This is where I usually go to pick up a six pack of beer to have with my pizza. There is nothing entirely special about this shop, except for the guys who work here are always so nice to me. Their wine and liquor selection is average, their prices are average. But I feel like I'm treated well as a customer here.
When we first started renting a lake house out by the boy scout camp, we were very concerned about how far we would have to go to get the things we needed. I the 2 weeks we stay, we usually take one trip to the big market, and get whatever else we need at Northwood Country Market. I was amazed at the great steaks we picked up there. We always needed more cold cuts, bread milk or chips, and this was our natural choice. We were able to get beer and bait as often as we ran out with out having to take a long drive, which cut into our family fun time.
Annabelles Natural Ice Cream & Yogurt Company is a stop every time we go to Portsmouth to visit my sister. I just love the creamy texture of their ice creams. I haven't found a flavor yet that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. Annabelles is in a nice area to walk around on warm spring night, window shopping. Their serving size is excellent and the prices are great.
Asia Chinese & Japanese Restaurant as a decent, but not great Chinese place. There is nothing extraordinary on the menu, but all of the staples are there. The place is clean and comfortable. The service is prompt, and the prices are reasonable.
WE had a great time at Redhook Ale Brewery out by Pease Airport. we first took tour of the brewery and learned all about how they make their fine beers and ales. After that we stayed for a casual lunch of sandwiches and salads for our group. The meal was fine, the place was clean. We thought the service was warm and friendly, and the prices were average.
