Chateau De Nails
Chateau De Nails opened fairly recently and I was eager to try it out. I was not disappointed. I went in for a manicure and eyebrow wax. The man who did my nails was super quick, but his work was flawless! I couldn't stop looking at my nails...they were beautiful. The polish on a basic manicure typically starts to chip after a few days. My polish didn't chip for a week!! And, they did a great job on my eyebrows. Even though they were a little pricey, I came away pleased and will definitely go back.
Bert's Diner
My parents took me here for breakfast. They were always raving about Berts' breakfasts and they were right! This is a little diner off the beaten path, but it's always packed. They have the BEST breakfast. Huge plates full of the delicious food that is so reasonably priced and the service is always great. I try to make it to Berts every time I'm in town and it's always a treat!
J'aime Nails
I was driving by and saw the place. Inside is really small and a bit on the run-down side. Only one other person was in there and I was in a hurry so I thought I'd give it a try.
I went in for a pedicure/manicure and I must admit they were really nice. I had the best foot scrub ever! The manicure and pedicure itself was fine, but nothing to rave over. I didn't feel the $30 plus tip was worth it for the job that was done and the environment.
Cynthia's Hallmark
They have a good selection and good prices, as expected from any hallmark store. But they exceeded expectations with their wonderful service. I purchased a card and a gift for my sister and spent quite a while in the store. The answered all my questions and were patient as I looked at practically every card and item in the store.
Mi Tortilla Mexican Grill
Everyone who works here is SO nice and helpful. They always have a smile, a friendly word, and are eager to assist...getting you refills, clearing your plates, checking to make sure you have everything you need.
The food is delicious! It may seem a bit pricey at first, but the portions are huge and can easily feed two people. Try their nachos with grilled chicken. They are so good and you won't be disappointed!! Or, if you're unsure of what to order, just ask and they'll help.
Oggi's Pizza & Brewing Company
The service at Oggis is always great. The food is delicious and the prices reasonable. We usually come for lunch and it's never that crowded. They're quick with the food and we always leave satisfied. I particularly like their raviolis.
Goodfellas Cafe
This place is new and just opened a few months ago. They have lots of seating and the place is usually full of people. The prices are reasonable and the menu typical (burgers, sandwiches, salads, etc). They always have a special of the day which comes with a salad and drink and is very inexpensive...which is good if you're on a budget.
The decor is fun also. They have hundreds of pictures of celebrities and movies. Which is good because it takes your mind off the long wait for service. I've been here numerous times and the wait for your food is always slow. But, if you have the time, the food and prices are worth it.
PROS: Good food, good prices, pleasing decor.
CONS: Service is slow.
R Cleaners
They're located inside Canyon Hills Marketplace, so it's a nice, new, clean environment. I took two pairs of pants for alterations and couldn't have been more pleased with the results.
Jade Nails
This place is reasonably priced and they do a good job. The first time I went was for a fill, and I wasn't happy with the results. But, I gave them another shot and couldn't have been more pleased. Now, I go all the time for manicures, pedicures, and facial waxing and I've never been disappointed.
Pro Dry Cleaners
I chose this place because it was close to work. I took one dress and one pair of casual pants to be altered. They didn't want me to wear shoes when they were pinning my pants, which made no sense to me. How can they gauge the proper length, if I'm not wearing shoes? They pinned the pants and I put on my shoes and they were too short! I had them re-pin and everything seemed good to go.
When I picked up my clothes they told me they didn't take credit/debit cards and would barely take my check. I had to leave my address, DL number, phone number, and assure them I worked in the area. It was a pain. To top it off, it was SO expensive. I'm a short girl and have most of my clothes altered. I've never paid that much for alterations in my life.
