When we first moved here, we would be sure to take our vehicle to All Valley. They are very professional, reasonable and most important of all....honest! I felt good about going here. They have since changed ownership and I don't feel as good about going here since then.

San Diego City Sightseeing
This tour is a good way to get an overview of San Diego and the neighboring area. It is on a double decker trolly/bus. You have on/off privileges. You can go to one place, get off and explore that area, get back on the bus the next time it comes around, etc. You just need to be sure you are back on by the last pick up.
Soho Lab
We were staying in the Gaslamp District and needed to find some sandals for my husband. He found several that he liked. While he was trying them on I found some shoes that I really liked (and I am not a shoe person). My daughters also found shoes that they really liked. The prices were reasonable. The help was very helpful.
Fred's Mexican Cafe
We were staying in the Gaslamp and was walking in the district. We stopped here because it sounded very good. The food was good but not anything to really write home about. The service was fine. We did enjoy our time and had some left over for the next day.
Value Craft
Value Craft is a big store that has just about everything you need to complete any craft. This was the store I would always go to whenever I needed anything "crafty". Definitely give this one a try.
Original Roadhouse Grill
It is quite interesting to walk into a restaurant and step on peanut shells! The food is very good and the atmosphere is fun and lively. If you want a fun family place to go to, this is it.
Gaslamp Plaza Suites
Gaslamp Plaza Suites is in the heart of the Gaslamp District. It is two blocks from Horton Plaza, two blocks from the trolley. There are many different restaurants and shops to choose from. Public transportation is very good and easy to use.
The resort is well taken care of. The staff are real nice. Merry is the activities director and is a hoot!
Sleepy Forest
My aunt gave me a certificate for a free weekend. We went to Cathy's Country Cottage. The room was very beautiful and romantic. They have a large Jacuzzi tub in the room. It was very close to the museum and other area attractions.
It is a very nice place to getaway and spend romantic and quality time with your spouse.
Shields Date Garden
The first time we went here I was skeptical. I thought that a date shake or ice cream would be gross. How wrong I was! Even my kids look forward to going here.
They used to only serve date shakes and ice cream, now they serve other flavors like cookies and cream. I suggest getting the date flavor as you can have the other any old time.
They have a gift store where you can purchase other items besides date. They also have a film you can watch.
We like to make a detour to go there when we go to my mother-in-laws.
