Bellagios Pizza Lake Oswego
Bellagios does a nice job. They are kind of a no nonsense pizza restaurant. They pretty much stick to the basics with a nice thick crust pizza. They recently came out with a lunch item called a grinder, which is very good. I like this particular location at the south end of the lake, and like how the restaurant is set up.
Andrews Furniture Galleries
This is a nice locally owned furniture store in Lake Oswego. We were looking for a dresser and night stand for our daughter and were able to find something at a reasonable price. They have a nice selection of furniture, and if they don't have something you like they are very helpful in finding you something via a catalog or another source. They definitely provided great service and free delivery.
Big 5 Sporting Goods
Big 5 is a pretty average sporting goods store. They have a pretty ho hum selection of athletic shoes. They have a little bit of everything, but don't excel in any one area. Their appeal is to the shopper who is looking for run of the mill name brands for a cheaper price.
Hawk Creek Cafe
The Hawk Creek Cafe is a nice little spot across the street from Hawks Creek GC, and right next door to the Proposal Rock Inn and Neskowin Inn. Their coffee is great, they have a great little menu, and is a nice spot any time of year.
Eastmoreland Golf Course
Eastmoreland is a beautiful golf course tucked just SE of dowtown Portland. The front nine and the back nine are almost like two different courses. The front is pretty much straight away with the exception of a couple of dog legs and has no water holes. The back nine has a lot of undulating terrain, water holes galore, and plenty of places to get in trouble. If you struggle on the front, you will get destroyed on the back. The club house is very nice and the restaurant banquent area is great. I attended a reception there once and found it to be quite enjoyable.
Oswego Lake House
This is quite the little hang out in the summer time. The patio is a great place to meet up with friends for drinks. I didn't have dinner, but the appetizers they served were great as were the drinks. Everything was a little on the pricey side, but certainly not outraegous. From time to time they have a band playing which is a nice touch as you watch the sunset. Great fun.
Lake Oswego Golf Course
LO Municipal is a pretty interesting course. I found the front nine to be much easier than the back, with the back having much more interesting holes and more difficult greens. The course is great for those looking to tune up their short game. They have a nice club house, and great food for those looking to have lunch or drinks in the clubhouse or on the patio. The prices are reasonable and overall a fun experience.
Timberline Lodge
The lodge itself is beautiful. It has a lot to offer in the way of lodging, dining, or just going up to ski for the day and hanging out by the fire. The views from the lodge on a clear day are priceless. I would highly recommend Timberline Lodge any day of the year.
OMSI Omnimax Theatre
I saw the movie Speedway and was completely blown away. I felt like I was in the cockpit driving side by side with Mario Andretti. I can't imagine a bad experience regardless of the movie.
LaRog Brothers - Clackamas and Portland Jewelers
My wife and I got our wedding rings at LaRog and found them to be very good. My wifes ring was custom made, which actually turned out to be a nice experience from start to finish. I think the quality of the diamond was very good, and their prices reasonable. They are very service oriented, and would consider them again for a jewelry purchase.
