Tommy's Window Tinting
Tommy is the man! He has been tinting all of my vehicles for many years and has always done top-notch work. I've never had a tint de-laminate or fade/change color. He offers a variety of services in addition to tinting, including clear plastic shields to protect your paint. He does both industrial applications and vehicles. Highly recommend his service.
Children's Village Day School
My son attended Children's Village Day School for 4 and 1/2 years. I was pleased with the staff. He loved going each day and learned a lot in their pre-school program. He was prepared for Kindergarten and is reading above grade level. Excellent program and fantastic staff.
Taglio Salon
I have been getting my hair done at Taglio Salon for several years. I am pleased with my cut and color every time. The hairstylists are friendly and I enjoy talking with my stylist. Excellent service every time.
Mayas Tacqueria
I first discovered this restaurant about 20 years ago while exploring Portland's downtown district. I wandered in and ordered a burrito and chips. The salsa selection that they offer is freshly made and superb! Healthy choices and good portions have made it a repeat destination.
Acapulco's Gold
Acapulco's Gold offers fresh Mexican fare at a reasonable price. The tamales are good and the jalapeo poppers were incredible. No waiting and outdoor seating when the weather allows.
La Calaca Comelona
I was told about this restaurant by a colleague who raved about the Mexican food there. I went and was surprised by the experience. The food was good....just not very Mexican. Good, healthy choices, just not the "south-of-the border) food I was expecting.
Muchas Gracias Mexican Food
La comida es riqusima.
Excellent, pretty authentic Mexican food. MUCH more authentic than most of the so-called Mexican stores in Oregon. Spanish is the language spoken in the kitchen, but the clerks at the register speak good English. Great value and huge servings. Favorite spot for quick, delicious Mexican.
Bush Garden
Bush Gardens serves a variety of delicious Japanese dishes and serve sushi as well. The atmosphere is very oriental and they have seating areas where you sit on the floor around a table. The staff were friendly and the service attentive.
Close to the Max tracks and Pioneer Square.
Cafe Allegro
Okay, first off, I have to admit, I've never been to Italy, but I grew up in an Italian household and know good Italian food when I taste it. Cafe Allegro was fabulous!
The ambiance is romantic, and reminiscent of what I envision Europe to be like. The wait staff is attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The meal was preceded by warm, delicious Italian bread, accompanied by olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The meal was satisfying and delighted my palate. I had the Qualtro Mani Montepuliciano wine, (Italy 2006) which complemented the meal perfectly.
Old Spaghetti Factory
The Spaghetti Factory (it doesn't really look that old) is a fabulous place to take the family for a dinner experience that they're not likely to forget anytime soon. The meals include a salad and bread before the main course is served. The food is quite good, the portions satisfying and if you still have room for dessert, they include vanilla or spumoni ice cream afterwards.
The wait staff was superb and we can't wait to go back soon.
