Grace Lutheran Preschools
This preschool is good sized and well run. The teachers are kind and they have a lot of play equipment available for the kids. There are two separate playgrounds to separate the kids by age and to also offer a variety. This is not the place if you think your child is the next Picasso or Einstein, but for those of us that want a safe, clean place for our kids to explore and grow, try Grace Lutheran.
Harbor Mexican Cafe
This is a little Mexican Cafe that is family run and very Americanized. They serve good breakfasts and lunch and I believe tamales on the weekends. Mike the chef will make you what you want. Flavor is average, like you went to your neighbors to eat. If you're waiting for your animal at the vet in the strip mall then stop by here for some down time and food. If not, it's not a place you want to drive out of your way for.
Animal Medical Center
This moderate size veterinarian provides discount neuter and immunizations for your pets. They have separate entrances for dogs and cats. The staff is helpful, but expect to wait a very long time.
Salon HQ
This moderate sized hair salon is owned and run by a local HB girl who has been cutting hair for over 20 years. It is clean and up to date. Parking can be a bit difficult and prices are up there with the better salons.
Alliance Collision
I really liked this small autobody shop. They do better work than most I have seen with friendly estimators who help you with all the insurance paperwork. The turn around time was quick and my husband approved!
Bears Buddies & Toys
What a darling little store for your kids under 7. They have a nursery with newborns in the window with sounds of newborns over a recording. They sell some toys, dress up clothes and even things for boys! There is a large pirate ship in the middle so the boys don't feel left out. You can have a birthday party here and all the kids will love it.
Rick F. Pospisil, MD
Dr. Pospisil is a straight-forward no nonsense, orthopedist. He is used by insurance companies for his opinions a lot because he is conservative. He is knowledgeable in his field and offered therapy before any invasive treatment. He needs some work on his bedside manner.
Catalina Fish Kitchen
This is a newer fish taco place that is moderate sized. It isn't very busy and the atmosphere is boring. Dress is casual and food is just ok. Sorry.
Aloha Hawaiian Bbq
I love to order Spam Musubi from this little Hawaiian place. It's not a restaurant, but a cafe. I've actually never been inside because they offer drive thru service that you can't beat.
Wallstrong Trailers
We used Wallstrong Trailers to repair our boat trailer. They packed the bearings and rebuilt the brakes. They are an honest, no frills shop that I highly recommend.
