The Famished Frog
What a fun place! My coworkers and I go there for happy hour a few times a month, and it has a great atmosphere and great beer on tap. The food is good as well whether you are ordering by the bar or are sitting down for lunch or dinner. The nachos are awesome and I love their veggie burger and veggie sandwich!
Luna Rossa Ristorante
Good portions and detailed menu. The one real benefit to this restaurant is that it is open later than many of the other places in the area. After a late movie at the Bridgewater Mall, my husband and I had no where else to eat near our Bedminster home until we stumbled upon Luna Rossa and were pleasantly surprised! We will return.
Princess Nails
You can get an OK pedicure at and OK price at Princess Nails. This place is good for a last-minute treatment, but if you have time to make an appointment, go elsewhere.
Plaza 70 Bagel
This place is truly "Marlton." Though it is small, it is a prideful establishment that serves its clientele with friendliness and great service. The bagels are always fresh and the cream cheeses are yummy. I am always impressed by the upbeat and positive attitude of the owner and all of the workers, even on a busy Saturday morning. The coffee is good, too.
Trattoria Mediterranea
Delicious food in an authentic restaurant. The ambiance is romantic, though it is small and can get noisy. This is a nice place to meet friends and family for a great meal. I love the pumpkin ravioli!
Lucky Nail's Ii
Lucky Nails I and II are great salons within a mile of each other. Between the two, you never need an appointment and can get a great mani or pedi 7 days a week. They take their time, though, but the quality is worth it. I especially love the massage chairs during the pedicures.
Doreen's Paraphernalia
Try to drive by Doreen's--it's impossible! The dresses on display in the windows everyday will draw you in and that is only the tip of the ice berg. Once you get inside, the staff will help you find the gown, clothes or accessories that suit you best. I finally went in yesterday and found a wonderful cocktail dress for a formal summer wedding. This should be your first stop in the area for formal wear.
Sushi Lounge
I went here in May for the first time. I met a friend for drinks and sushi. The menu is incredible and the bar list is extensive. The ambiance is great as well. This is a wonderful place to start your night. You can then walk to so many places around the Green.
Chrysi's Bra Boutique
If you are an odd size or struggle to fit into bras at retail stores, try Chrysi's. The women will help you find the brand, style, and fit that work best for your shape. The selection is great, but the service is the best part. This was a recommendation from a friend and I won't be going anywhere else again!
Hotel Morgan Company
This hotel brings back old-world elegance in the midst of downtown Morgantown. Great restaurants, ice cream, and coffee are just steps away and the hotel serves breakfast as well. It can be pricey, but worth it! Book early, especially during the college seasons.
