I love showing the people in my life how I feel about them with flowers. I stopped into Liz's Flowers and discovered they have the most unusual groupings of flowers I'd ever seen and knew I had to pick something up for my mom. The flowers were great, their colors vibrant and the vase was the cherry on top.
For some wild reason, I had a wild idea that I could actually garden. I went to Urban Seed & Flower to get instructions on what to do and how to do it. They didn't roll their eyes at me or make me feel like an idiot (like so many of gardening friends do). They were great and provided me with all the necesseties to at least give a mini-garden a chance.
I used Flowere by Irma for a birthday arrangement for my grandma. I told them what I wanted to spend, I gave them all the necessary info and they did the rest. Very easy and my grandma was thrilled!
A friend of mine used Lotus Flowers for her wedding and had a bit of trouble. The delivery was 30 minutes late to the bride's house, putting a lot of stress on the already stressed-out bride. I kept calling the shop to find out where the flowers were, but to no avail. Thankfully, the delivery person showed up and everything was fine again. The flowers were beautiful, but not worth the hassle.
I love buying and giving flowers but was mortified by the bouquet I bought from Koala's Flowers. I bought a bouquet for a friend of mine that was recovering from surgery and when I went to visit her a couple of days later, the bouquet was all but dead! I was so embarassed, I went to the local grocery store and picked up a replacement bouquet that lasted well over a week.
When I was out and about and saw Bonnie's Bouquets, I just had to go in and get something in honor of my own sister-in-law, Bonnie. The shop is great - it's small but filled with beautiful flowers. The lady behind the counter put together some stems for me, wrapped them up and wished my Bonnie a hello!
When there was a death in the family, I needed to get flowers sent for myself and my mom. I contacted Flowers by Coley and had them take care of everything. The arrangements were beautiful - simple, yet tasteful and perfect for the occasion.
One of my designer friends sent me to Big Island Plants to browse around and get ideas on how I wanted to decorate my place. I got sooo many ideas, I called my friend from the shop to tell her what I was looking at. She came down to the shop and ultimately helped me to pick out several plants that I can now look at and enjoy in the comfort of my own home.
I loved the bouquet Petal Pushers put together for me. I was running late to a family dinner and wanted to bring my aunt something. The only thing that came to mind was flowers, and I saw Petal Pushers on my way. Everything worked out great.
My friends have gotten me into trying out various florists to see who can do what since everyone's styles are so different. I loved the birthday arrangement Nancy's Flowers did for me! My friend loved them and sent me pictures.
