Riverside Depot
Very quaint and cute, this little B & B sits right on the edge of the River. The rooms are themed for your enjoyment, and the two of the rooms have river views. If you have a bigger party, stay in the upper room, as it has a cool loft for kids to sleep in, and it has it's own kitchen and bathroom. The lower two rooms share a bathroom. The prices are reasonable and the owner is very nice and accommodating.
Casa Del Matador
The Matador offers very good food and strong drinks, but parking is a nightmare, as any business on 23rd is. It's a seriously hoppin' place on the weekend, so if you are looking for a fun place to go on a Saturday night, this is the place to be. Fast service when they are not busy, and the chips and salsa are AWESOME.
Oregon Zoo
What can I say?! The zoo is fantastic! Lots of animals to be seen, the exhibits are breathtaking and artistic. There are learning opportunities around every corner. We got a season pass last year and plan to get one year after year. The gift shop is so cool, and bound to spark the imaginations of little ones.
Paper Hat Inc
Tiga offers patrons delicious drinks and a fun atmosphere. Dim lights and a DJ really complete the mood. It's a little small and fills up fast but it's well worth it.
Kelly's Olympian
Kelly's is a great place to go for the avid motorcyclist and the non cyclist as well. There's lots of cool moto gear plastered all over the place, and vintage bikes hung up for patrons to ogle. The food is delicious and the drinks are nice and strong. I would definitely go there again.
My Tax Man
Never had a problem with My Tax Man. Taxes are always done on time and thoroughly. Can't really ask for more than that.
El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant
El Tapatio never disappoints. We've gone there several times for different family occasions and the staff is always friendly and talkative. (But not too much!) The prices are very reasonable and the food is great. It's kid friendly, there are high chairs for the little ones.
Sparky's Pizza
Living just down the street from Sparky's, we go there at least once a week and bring a pie home. We've never had a problem and the pizza has always been great.
Monsoon Thai Cuisine
Hidden behind the humble facade of a laundromat, sits Monsoon. Our default Thai joint, they never disappoint. The staff is always friendly, they talk to and play with my young son. The food is fantastic, and the price is right. I wish I could take Monsoon with me everywhere!
Mt Hood Meadows Ski Resort
Meadows is a great place to go for the avid skier/boarder. The terrain is good and the runs are easy to recognize and remember. Everything feels very well kept and maintained. The food is a bit pricey, but bring your own lunch and it's no problem.
